Prologue

1994, a year before the Outer Heaven Uprising, young David was in a gym as other FOXHOUND operatives and trainees surrounded a ring. Inside the ring, Frank Jaeger Aka Gray Fox.

"Alright rookies, who is brave enough to get in the ring with me?" smugly asked Fox, none of the recruits wanted to test him. They knew of his skill simply by name, the man in FOXHOUND to get the title of "Fox". He was a legend in the military, Fox waited for someone to join in but no one offered to, except for one man, that being the 22 year old David Halley.

"Ah a brave rookie, what's your name?" Fox asked,

"Lieutenant Halley, sir." David replied as he stood up,

"Well Halley, hop in the ring." Fox said as he walked back to the corner. David couldn't help but feel a little nervous, he's confident in his skill but never believed he could defeat someone like Gray Fox, still he needed to prove his worth to FOXHOUND so why not here. He hopped over the ropes and looked across the ring to Gray Fox,

"No gloves in FOXHOUND. On the battlefield, the enemy won't wear gloves and neither will you. This isn't a boxing match so expect everything." informed the legendary soldier,

"Yes sir." David replied as he assumed a stance, Fox cracked his knuckles and got in his stance,

"Ready when you are, rookie." Fox said with a smile, David smiled back and nodded. Everyone watching them, David and Fox charged at each other and both engaged in an epic friendly fight. This was before the Outer Heaven Uprising, before Big Boss and now at the turn of the millennium, David Halley's world will never be the same again.
