"Where are you going to run?" Feng Jiu yelled coldly. She flipped her palm, and a burst of flame shot out, wrapping the evil spirit attached to the ancient jade with startling speed. The blazing flames raged, and a harsh and piercing voice was heard.
"Aaah!"
The voice steadily decreased from high to low, eventually fading completely. The ancient jade pendant shattered and fell to the ground.
The Patriarchs and clan elders who witnessed the scene were taken aback. Only one ball of flame had burned away the evil spirit overflowing with Yin energy?
Feng Jiu looked around before turning to face the Patriarchs and the clan elders. "You handle things here. The array's core is right here; I'll handle the front."
With those words, she dashed away to the forest ahead. Deep in the forest, an eerie and sinister voice filled with powerful Yin energy echoed between the trees.
