Before Derek and the kid were the sights of a devastated building. The door was pulled out as its split parts lay on the ground, the blood which stained the broken window showed that there must have been some struggle and the fight had reached the window.
The lights of the building were still on so Derek could see the interior and it was no better it was worse as his nose picked up the scent of blood, the thugs had probably reached before him.
He noticed the boy's breathing spike and before he could stop him the boy ran into the building, Derek sighed and followed, the furniture in the sitting room was all destroyed and the boy knelt in front of a badly bruised woman whose face was covered with blood causing some of her hair to stick to her face, she had several marks on her body, it was probably from those broken glasses, the thugs must have used it against her.
