2 Determination

I don't know where this Gin comes from.

He doesn't have any Korean-like characteristics at all and looks more like a westerner, but his Korean pronunciation is very fluent.

I saw a boy with jet-black hair and reddish-brown eyes come out of the crowd, and then the boy looked at Gin with an enthusiastic face.

"Sir! Sir! Are you an angel?!" The boy shouted excitedly.

Gin just smiled at what the boy said and he stroked the boy's hair.

"Allow me to introduce myself once again. My name is Gin and I am a messenger that was sent by The Supreme Ruler to convey and guide sheep like all of you with what The Supreme Ruler wants to do. The messenger was not only me but there were other messengers. We are the messengers were given our respective area by The Supreme Ruler with a certain code and my area is this area with code KR-S001." Gin explained at length.

I'm so confused by what Gin just said.

I don't understand what he means by The Supreme Ruler, messengers, and area with code.

I don't understand at all, he even refers to us humans as sheep.

"Alright... If all of you have no more questions, can I start the event right now? I can't waste too much time." Gin said.

Event? What else is it? I didn't understand what he means from the start but judging by how he behaved, he seemed like a good person.

Maybe I can ask him what he means from the start.

"Sir Gin... Right? Your job is to convey and guide us on what The Supreme Ruler wants to do, right? Then, please tell us what you mean from the start in more detail." I asked Gin.

Hearing what I said, Gin looked at me more intently and he walked toward me.

Our faces met, but it was too close and made me have goosebumps.

"As expected, you are indeed different from the sheep. When I use my divine eye, I can see that you are the purest one among them which makes it impossible for me to call you a sheep. Hey human, tell me what your name is." Gin said excitedly.

Gin gripped my shoulder so tightly and his eyes lit up in golden yellow color.

"My name is Kim Hajun. Nice to meet you." I said to Gin as I extended my hand to him for a handshake, and he accepted it right away.

"Alright Kim Hajun, I'm looking forward to the good results you will get in the future. Now let me explain the things I mean from the beginning, one by one." Gin said.

Gin walked back to the center of the park and a golden white light appeared from the sky that illuminate him.

"First of all, allow me to tell you who The Supreme Ruler is. The Supreme Ruler was an immortal existence that ruled the entire universe because The Supreme Ruler was tasked to do that by an immortal existence that was made The Supreme Ruler. Who made The Supreme Ruler? I didn't know it either." Gin explained at length again.

The Supreme Ruler? It seems that person is the boss of Gin and the other messengers.

I think it's better if I don't mention that person's name carelessly.

"Secondly, we as messengers are tasked by The Supreme Ruler to convey and guide all of you as I told earlier. Lastly, regarding the area. We also don't know about the use of the code given by The Supreme Ruler, but the area can be equated with a city. Alright, I think there are no more questions, then... I'll start the event immediately." Gin continued his lengthy explanation.

I felt as if I still lack information from Gin, but I think asking more than that is too much.

"I hope the first event goes well. Then... Have a good fight." Gin said.

Good fight? Are we going to fight with each other? It's impossible, right? Why the hell do we need to fight each other?

When I wanted to ask Gin about that, he snapped his fingers and everyone in the park was teleported to a place that looked like a colosseum.

Wait... This place... This place looks like one of the colosseums in Great Genesis.

I just realized that after looking around.

Medieval-like design with grayish-white color, partially shattered audience podium, and gates in the four cardinal directions of the colosseum arena.

However, the most notable is the emblem of the royal family of the Ronowen kingdom with a trident and star engraved on every part of the colosseum arena.

I didn't notice earlier, but Yun Hee kept holding my hand while her body is trembling.

Her face was pale and sweat was dripping from all over her body.

I grabbed Yun Hee's chin and lifted her face so she could see me.

"Yun Hee... Calm down, look at me... I'm here... I will protect you... Don't worry-"

Before I could finish my words, a silver-gray screen with golden black text appeared and it looks like the screen that I usually saw in Great Genesis.

[Event: Tutorial]

Rank: <???>

Goal: Kill everyone in the colosseum until you are the only one left or survive until the time runs out. (0/799)

Reward: <???>

Penalty: No penalty

From this screen, I can tell that in this colosseum there are eight hundred people including myself and Yun Hee.

[Imagine your equipment]

[Remaining times before the event starts: <10 minutes 0 seconds>]

Imagining my equipment? Does this screen tell me to imagine what equipment I will use to kill everyone here? Then what is this? I only have ten minutes until the event starts? Damn.

I looked around and saw that everyone was already holding their weapon.

Some of them were carrying swords, guns, spears, etc.

I also realized something, the people that teleported here are not just the people from Seoul city hall park.

I think at least Yun Hee should have a very strong weapon that can protect herself.

"Yun Hee... Listen to me... You see the message screen in front of you... Right?" I said to Yun Hee.

Yun Hee nodded at what I said and that means she could see the same message screen as what I said.

"Imagine equipment that you think can protect you, you play Great Genesis, right? Just imagine equipment that you know from there." I told Yun Hee to imagine her equipment.

Hearing my words, Yun Hee closed her eyes and a dazzling golden-white light appeared around her body.

The light become more dazzling and then disappeared in an instant.

When the light disappeared, I saw Yun Hee wearing a clean white and shiny armor that she usually used in Great Genesis when she played as a healer.

After seeing that, I'm sure it's fine to leave Yun Hee alone since the armor that she used right now is the holy armor which has very high durability, physical defense, and magical defense.

The holy armor also has a special ability that could protect Yun Hee.

"Yun Hee. You must stay here. I'll go and annihilate some troublesome-looking people, so there won't be any obstacles in the future." I said to Yun Hee.

I stood up, but Yun Hee was holding my shirt tightly.

I need to annihilate some troublesome-looking people because I can't miss this opportunity to get rid of them before I meet them in the future, that's what my father always told me to do.

"Don't go... Please... Don't go... I... I can protect you too. So, please... Don't go... I beg you." Yun Hee said worriedly.

Yun Hee said that as if she was really worried about me and was afraid that I die.

I bent down and held Yun Hee's palm.

When I saw Yun Hee's face, she seemed to have tears in her eyes.

"Park Yun Hee. Listen to me. You don't have to worry about me. You know that, right? I'm good at something like this and I can protect myself. So let me go. I'll make sure we both get out of here alive." I promised Yun Hee as I wiped tears on her cheek.

Yun Hee hesitantly released her grip from my shirt and lowered her face.

I closed my eyes and imagined the strongest equipment I could use to attack and defend.

The thing that popped into my mind for the first time was the dragon knight sword which I used in the game before I came here.

A dazzling golden-white light appeared in front of me and when the light disappeared, I was already holding the dragon knight sword that I accidentally imagined.

I think I'm messed up because out of all the powerful equipment that I know, this is the one that appeared.

Even though this weapon has a legendary rank and very useful ability, it will be better if the equipment that I imagine is equipment that has a myth rank.

"Yun Hee.. Look here. Now, I'm holding a sword and you know what that means, right? There won't be anyone here who can beat me unless that person is more skilled than me. So... You don't have to worry about me." I said to Yun Hee while smiling at her and wiping the tears that were on her cheek with my thumb.

Yun Hee lowered my hand from her cheek and smiled at me with a thrilling face.

"Kill those people who might cause trouble in the future and do it as mercilessly as you can." Yun Hee said to me.

I think Yun Hee has returned to her usual self so she can say something like that. I stood up again and turned my body away from Yun Hee.

"Now... I will go. Make sure you don't get hurt while I am away and immediately use the holy sanctuary when you are in danger." I said to Yun Hee.

The holy sanctuary should be enough to withstand three attacks of a monster with a level over five hundred like the ancient dragon that I fought earlier.

Well... Even though she's a healer in Great Genesis, she usually became an attacker rather than a healer.

"Make sure you're safe too and don't overdo it." Yun Hee said as she waved her hand.

Don't overdo it... Huh? Even though she said that of course, I'll do it the way I usually do, right? Annihilating troublesome people without mercy is what I usually do in Great Genesis or in my past.
