"The world is ending, finally." A man was looking out the thick barred window. It was tiny and little light could get inside. This man is Wen. He's been in an asylum since he was 16 and he was finally able to get out yet under the conditions of an apocalypse. Everything he remembered had been changed and with little experience except for his weird urge to kill, it was going to take alot to survive. All events that happen in the book are unrelated to real life... some what The mc only starts his crazed killing after a certain part, not right away. 16 The humans?

A heavy smell of blood filled the streets. There was only a dim flickering street light keeping the place alive. The sounds of crunching filling the otherwise quiet neighborhood.

A large creatures booty was protruding from the small door way. A large trench coat covered the whole monsters body and a long black tail swished in the air.

Another creature came walking up to it. It was also rather tall but not as tall as the creature infront of it. Before it could say anything the larger creature came out the doorway. A human spine was dangling out of it's mouth with the head still connected, letting the disfigured humans red-stained blond hair drag apon the floor.

"Why have you come to bother me again?" The creature looked down apon the smaller one, resisting the urge to roll its glowing yellow eyes. The look sent shivers down the smaller one's spine.

"Ehm... Alishka got hurt, master."

"Tch- of course they did, and what am I suppose to do about that?" The 'master' of the creatures turned it's head back to the body it was feasting upon.

"Use your glorious powers on them. You are too great master, the only one who hadn't succumbed to the monster within even after drinking all the blood you had. Please help us."

The creature snapped the spine it was holding in it's mouth in half, letting the head drop on the floor. The face was shown from the flickering light, a normal looking middle aged human with her hazel eyes wide open as if she had seen something tramatizing. She had a chunk missing from her neck, looking as if it had been ripped out brutally.

"Useless! Go help yourselves." The creature turned its head, letting it's long black hair drag over its shoulder.

The smaller creature dropped it's head in shame yet it's yellow eyes stayed up glaring at the creature who had it's back turned to it. It's pride after it turned into a monster was dwindling. It hated having to kiss this monster's feet, especially when the creature didn't even care about them, yet it was the only reason they were able to survive this long. 'This fu*king over-grown rat!' "Master, please help, your the only one who can heal the eyes. Let Alishka live."

"They will survive as long as they has one eye left. Leave me alone." The smaller creature clenched it's jaw.

"Master, you are so mean!"

"Fine, you leech, what do you want? You want me to heal the bit*h? Tell them to stop getting themselves in trouble first, then I'll think about healing their as*." The 'master' stood up. It towered over the smaller creature when it stood at its full hight but the trench coat it was wearing was still able to brush apon the ground.

"Thank you, master!" The creature led its master to the place where Alishka was being held. It was an abandon café, the sign was almost falling off and had faded lettering.

They came in to Alishka sitting in the corner holding their face in their large hands. They were wailing illegible words probably along the lines of revenge.

The master of the creatures walked up to Alishka and crossed its arms. The oversized trenchcoat hid all of it's skin the only skin visible was the bottem half of their face, showing their nose and mouth. It was smooth greyish skin and it was clear that the creature had been a real beauty before it's untimely transformation.

"What happened to you?"

Alishka looked up it's ugly visage was a huge contrast compared to its master. It had elongated limbs and ugly boils upon it's fleshy body, pale yellow veins could be seen under their thin skin. "Master~!" It wailed. "The mean humans bullied me!"

"Humans?" The creature gave an exasperated huff. "The humans are all dead, we've checked for so long. But... if what you say is true then this is a good chance for some fresh food."

They grabbed Alishka's face with two long slender fingers, making it seem as if they were disgusted to touch the creature infront of them, and turned it left to right. "You'll be fine. You have another eye, don't act as if your about to die."

Alishka frowned and grabbed it's master's retreating wrist . "Master, you should still heal it, I only have one eye left, if I loose that one too I can't survive!"

"I don't want you to survive anyway." The creature yanked its arm out the other mangled creature's coarse hand. "And don't touch me."

"Yes, Master. I also noticed something. Their were two humans but they were keeping one of us safe. We should take them away from the humans and show them the ropes."

"I already have to baby sit three of you we don't need one more." The creature scoffed before bringing its covered hand to its chin. "But that is strange."

"Why don't we see them, then." The smallest creature suggested. "I am also curious about this creature that's staying with humans."

"Maybe they are secretly nurturing the humans to devour them later, if so their really smart." Alishka pointed out.

The creature with a trench coat pondered for a moment before deciding. "Ok, look. We'll go find them."

~~~(`^`)~~~
L opened his eye's, wincing at the brightness of the luminescent lights in the fully white room. After letting his eye's adjust he staired at the plain ceiling. 'God, who designed this place.'
"Even god don't know." A voice sounded next to him. L turned to see Wen laying next to him on the floor. "Guess I said that outloud."
"You did, you know you also talk in your sleep? Well, it sounded more like moaning but that's some form of communication though, right?"
"Maybe." 'Is this what waking up high sounds like? What is this converstation?'
They both kept their eyes on the ceiling, letting the room grow quiet. After a few moments Wen opened his mouth again. "Ethan's awake."
Just when he said that, Ethan opened his eyes drowzily. "En..."
"Good morning." L said blankly.
"It's night though."
"Shut up, Wen."
Wen shrugged and looked away while muttering something. "How are you feeling?"
Ethan sat up straight and cracked his neck. "My back still hurts a bit and I'm feeling a bit nauseous. Other than that, I'm fine."
L nodded and stood up, parting with the floor. He went to get a pen and his mini writing pad before sitting with it. The pen moved up and down, sending scribbles into the air. He wrote more things about the creature Ethan seemed to be turning into.
Wen gew curious and crawled over to Ethan to see what he was writing.
•Mutates by drinking blood? The more blood they intake the stronger they get and the more they grow.
He wrote this in the hypothesis section because he wasn't completly positive about this idea, but it seemed this way. Right after Ethan bit L, he started to act weird and mutate so it seemed as if the blood stimulated the action.
L tossed the notepad in the corner on the room. If he was going to create a cure for this he needed alot more things to work with. Knowing that he couldn't do anything but watch Ethan suffer frustrated him.
The doctor stood up and stretched. "I'm going to get some fresh air, watch Ethan for me."
