EXCERPT. "What do you mean?" "What I mean Ethan is that i can't live with a man who i am not married to." Maria snapped at me, her face flushed with emotion. This was the first time she had ever raised her voice at me. I could tell she was hurting. "So what do you want me to do?" Though i asked, a part of me already had a clue as to what she might say. "A divorce. I want you to divorce her so-." "I can't" I quickly cut her off. "Why not? Is there some law which says you can't?!" Maria paused. Her body trembling with rage," For God sake you were drunk Ethan! So was she! You have enough reason to get.-" "That's not what I meant." "Then what do you mean?" I didn't understand it myself. I had no idea what had come over me, but the flame. It burned deep inside my chest. I had to understand what it meant. "I want to feel it." "Feel what Ethan? You're not making any sense!" "I'm not stupid. Even though I was drunk i still had some Sense. There's no way i could have married her if i didn't have a reason. If i didn't feel something." "What are you trying to say to me Ethan." Maria slowly approached me, tears dripping down her face. I looked away from her, i didn't want my gaze to meet hers. I knew what i was doing wasn't right, i just couldn't stop myself. I had to find out what happened that night. "What I'm trying to say is that. I need to feel it. I need to understand what i felt for her that made me marry her. I need to understand that feeling and until i get that... I can't divorce her." "What?" "I'm sorry Maria." I knew i had hurt her, i knew what i was doing was wrong. But there was nothing more i could do. My mind was made up.

My Wife! Don't touch her!

Immediately she became dizzy.

Her hand placed on her abdomen. She held in her gut. Fighting the impulse pushing her to purge out her intestines. To gag out her throat.

The goosebumps. The shuddering fright.

Her mind. Her mind was aloof. Her brain dazed.

Roxanne held unto the door frame for support. The Vision Infront of her blurring. Her eyes tearing up.

"Come here?"

"Let me go!"

"I'll teach you to respect me."

"Stopp." Roxanne screamed louder. She held unto her foggy head.

Vague memories came flashing in and out of her head. Each one went bye too fast. She couldn't see anything but she felt all the emotions.

Fear. Pain. Distress. Anxiety.

It all came slamming into her.

"Don't kill ME!" She screamed louder.

Her distress didn't go unnoticed.

"Miss are you alright!" The maids came in a haste from downstairs. They heard her and thought Ethan had went on a rampage.

Thay all came rushing towards her at once. This made Roxanne more scared.

She developed a siege mentality.

"Don't! DON'T!" She crawled desperately on the floor trying to escape from those who had suddenly surrounded her. "Save me! SAVE ME!!"

"You don't love me?"

"I trusted you!"

"We're going to be parents! Aren't you happy?"

"No. No." Roxanne held unto her head. Her motion stopped immediately. The voices playing in her head. The raw emotions.

It drove her bezerk.

She had curled herself up into a ball. Bitter tears soaking her robe. "He doesn't love you. Run. Run." Her teeth chattering.

She had no idea why or what she was saying. But with each word, a dagger jabbed at her heart.

She was out of breath. Gasping for air. Choking on her tears.

"What's happapa?" Ethan came bursting out of the guest room. His body still drenched in dried blood. His staggering gaze wondered round till it found Roxanne on the floor. His chest tightened.

He lunged towards her. Spilling fresh blood all over the floor.

From his fight earlier, Ethan had sustained a stab wound on his lower abdominal. Though Joseph and Matthew had managed to patch it up as they awaited the doctor. His sudden rapid movements tore open the cut.

He was loosing blood.

Dying slowly.

"Ahh!" The blood on his hands. His face. His FACE! The vague images of a man in Roxanne's mind converged with the sight of the man approaching her in reality.

Blood stained, same eyes full of horrid passion, same face. No love nor affection.

Same time, same place. She remembered his face.

The man looked like Ethan! No. He was Ethan!

"Stay away from me!" She screamed. Backed up to the wall. Her heart. Her poor heart raced round the clock. She was in full flight or fight mode. Her body automatically moved.

It chose defense. It chose to fight!

The trauma. The trauma. Her body was all to used to it. Roxanne's muscles ached. They had retained the memories.

"Stay away. STAY AWAY!" Her memories merged with reality. She couldn't differentiate between the two.

The maids and even Joseph stood in awe of the madness.

Their boss was dead drunk and his wife was having a mental breakdown.

Who to respond to?

"Hold her limbs." Joseph instructed the moment he noticed Roxanne's haphazard movement. Like she was having a seizure.

"No leave her alone!" Ethan couldn't understand why people were surrounding his wife. Who would dare touch his wife in his presence! The urge to defend and protect overwhelmed him. His intoxicated state filling him with false confidence.

Immediately, he attacked them.

"I said let her go!" In his intoxication, he punched a maid. Sending her to the ground. He was about to reak more havock when two strong arms held him down. Pinning him to the ground.

"What is happening?!" Andrew rushed unto the scene. A doctor behind him. Joseph had informed him that Ethan was badly wounded so he took the liberty of calling a doctor.

However, the scene before him was nothing short of a nightmare. There was blood everywhere, Ethan had been pinned yet he was struggling ferociously. Roxanne was having a seizure.

Wait! Roxanne was what?!

"Doctor!" He yelled to the man behind him who immediately took the hint.

"Bring her to the room." The maids carried Roxanne into the master's bedroom.

"No! My wife? My Wife! Don't touch her! Don't hurt her! Not anymore! NOT ANYMORE!!"
