1: The new guy

It's just my day alone at school as always. I have no friends. I considered as a rude person. I don't even know how to communicate with people and make friends. I have nothing left except my grandma. My parents died because of car accident and i'm the only child in my family.

"Annie Leonhart,"

Annie turn around. Oh, it's her math teacher Mr. Edward.

"Mhm,"

Annie replied with short form. At the same time she kinda annoyed of the principal at the school gate who keep yelling at students.

"Can you help me with something,"

She sighs. Oh great.

"With what,"

"Follow me,"

She started to follow Mr. Edward. It looks like they are going to the Edward's office. She's wondering what she did till she got called by Edward. She sighs again.

The door opened by Edward. She sees a guy standing beside Edward's desk. Her forehead furrowed. She never seen this guy everywhere. Maybe a new student?

"So what," she started the conversation.

"Alright, Annie, i want you to introduce urself to this new student, he just moved here yesterday," said Edwars.

"Tch, I'm Annie Leonhart,"

Annie sighs again. This is awkward.

"Hi! Im Armin Oscar hope we can he friends!"

Armin smiled.

"Wipe your smile off your face,"

"Eek-"

Armin with his weird face reaction make the situation in Edward's office more awkward.

"Uhh, i want you to show him around this school," said Edward to Annie.

"Why me,"

Edward give a death stare at Annie while Armin standing there awkwardly. Annie started to crossed her hands means she feel annoyed.

"Uhhh...what should i do-"

Armin has no clue what he should do.

"JUST DO WHAT I ASK YOU TO DO ANNIE,"

Armin's heart jump a little. This is scary. Poor Armin.

Annie standing there while she put her hands in her uniform's pocket. She sighs again. This is why she hates school, always get into trouble. Actually stuff like these always happen to her. She give a death stare at Armin. Armin's shocked. His heart beats fast.

"Oh my god im dead,"

He's speechless. His brain completely blank.

Annie started to open the door to get out of the office and stopped for a second and said,

"Follow me,"

Armin and Edward stunned Armin nodded and started to follow Annie without saying a word. They both leave Edward's office.

"Sooo, hmm..how are you?"

Armin started the conversation so it won't be awkward like earlier in Mr. Edward's office.

"Good,"

Annie look at Armin again, he smiled. Annie shocked and look infront of her again.

"Why did he smiled.."

It's been a long time since she haven't got a smile from someone else other than her grandma. She smiled a little.

"Oh my god you can smile???"

Annie shocked a little. She wiped the smile off her face in a second. She didn't even say a word to Armin. She feels weird. She barely smile after her parents died. She looked down staring at the floor.

"Are you sure you are fine?"

Armin asking again. His face looks worried. Annie can see it from his face. For her it's sweet to be honest. But at the same time she feels weird. Why did he care about her so much. It reminds her of her dead parents.

"Why did you care about me? I'm just a rude person,"

Armin shocked again.

"Why did you say that? I meant like, is it that weird if i care about everyone?"

Armin keep straing at Annie. He knows there is something wrong with her.

"Nevermind. Also we are near at class 2-3, our class,"

Armin stunned. He don't know what to say. He just nodded and keep following Annie.

They finally entered their class. All students in the class look up to Armin and Annie.

"Ooo~ look, it's the weak with the new kid,"

Reiner, Floch and Gabi laugh together while Annie look down again. She's speechless. Yeah, her bullies will never stop bothering her and let her live in peace. They always find a way to make her suffer. Everyday.

"Why are you all being mean to her?"

Armin asking with his mad face.

Reiner smirks.

"Ooo~ so the new kid is your boyfriend, huh?"

Armin's eyes a little wide open, he blushed a little.

"I- no! I'm not her bo-"

"Ignore them, Armin. Let's just sit down,"

Armin nodded a little. He's started to following Annie and ignoring the bullies. At the same time he's still mad toward them.

"Just sit beside me,"

Armin nodded again and sit beside Annie. He can see the monotone colors in her. She looks upset. Armin sighs.

"Just ignore them you kn-"

"Shut up,"

Armin stunned. A few seconds later, he started smiling. Annie look up to Armin. What the hell is wrong with this guy. Why he keep smiling even though someone gets mad at him.

"Hehe, sorry,"

Annie keep silent. She look out the window. The birds chirping, it calm her down for moment.

"Oi, weak,"

Annie look up to Floch, oh great. Since the teacher isn't here. They can take advantage to bully her again and again. They treat her like she's their servant.

Armin's forehead furrowed. He don't have a clue what is happening here. He don't want to intervene cause it is not his business. But at the same time he wants to protect Annie from this chaos.

"Where is my homework, huh?"

Annie's eyes wide open.

"I..I forgot to do his homework..I was helping my grandma the whole day..even my own homework i haven't finish it yet..oh, great."

Annie stands up.

"I forgot to do it."

"Whoa whoa what?! Oh you forgot to do it?! How could you be that dumb?! Is it that hard?!"

Floch started to pull Annie's collar and slam her at the wall. He punches her non stop until she's bleeding. The whole class cheering on Floch. They even laugh when they see Annie can't even get up and fight back.

"STOP!!!!"

The whole class silent. They all started to look at Armin. They gave him death stares. Armin's face looks mad. He ran to Floch and start kick his stomach. The whole class were shocked even Annie. She can't stand up because she got kicked on her leg and she got bloods on her face.

Reiner just stadning there with his eyes wide open. His eyes didn't even blink. Same as Gabi and she looks worried about Floch.

Armin slammed Floch till he hit the wall. He grabbed his collar.

"WHY WOULD YOU DID THAT TO HER? IT'S A GIRL! WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND?!"

Armin gritting his teeth. He punched Floch one more time. He fell and passed out.

"There!"

One of the student in 2-3 class pointing her index finger at Armin. The teacher walked into the classroom and sees Armin's hands is bleeding.

"HE PUNCHED ANNI-"

"THE NEW KID BEAT ANNIE AND FLOCH,"

Shouted Gabi.

"Office. Now."

Armin look at Annie for a moment. Annie with her mouth bleeding. She just staring at the floor without saying anything.

"Sighs..Alright.."

Armin walked out from the classroom and looking down. Sighs. It's his first day in new school and he already got into trouble.

"Hey,"

Annie turns around.

"Armin,"

Armin smiles.

"Soo, what's up?"

Annie look up straight to Armin's eyes.

"Wait..are you okay,,,"

Armin giggles.

"Since when ur caring about me huh?"

"..."

Annie hit Armin's head with a book she's holding.

"Ouch! Why would you do that!"

Armin makes his "mad" face. Annie just straing at him without say anything.

"Where do you live,"

"I..ARE YOU A SCAMMER. STALKER. DO YOU WANT TO KIDNAP ME. I THOUGHT WE ARE FRIENDS-"

Annie started to make her weird face. What is wrong with this guy-

"Nevermind, I will just go,"

Armin makes his mad face again and grabbed Annie's arm.

"I was kiddinggg!"

Annie stunned for a minutes.

"I live in Shiganshina,"

"Oh..same,"

Armin smiles again but he smiles with his beautiful white teeth.

"Why are you always smiling,"

Annie asked the question like it was nothing. Armin raised one of his eyebrows while smiling.

"What's wrong with my smile? Is it ugly?"

Annie stay silent and look at the floor again. She has nothing to say anymore.

"Hehe, how is your cheek anyways? Is it still hurt?"

"I'm fine,"

"That's great!"

It's been 10 minutes they were standing at the school's gate without saying a word. Armin giving Annie a death stare.

"Ehem ehem,"

Annie look up to Armin. Armin seems like he's giving her a death stare.

Armin suddenly hit Annie's head with his own hand.

"OUCH- what does that even for-"

"YOU SHOULD SAY THANKS TO ME BECAUSE I HELPED YOU EARLIER IN CLASS,"

Annie stay silent for 5 minutes. Then she finally spoke.

"Who asked for your help,"

"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"

He's mad and feel unappreciated for moment. Yet he's still fine sbout it, he just want to teach this lemon hair girl how to appreciate peoples..

"Just say thanks you idiot...JUST SAY "THANK YOU" AND DONE,"

Again, Annie didn't say a word.

The flames in Armin's is burning right now.

"SHE'S COLD AS HELL..WHAT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE HER APPRECIATE SOMEONE WHO HELPED HER WITH SOMETHING.."

Without delay, Annie began to set foot to get out of the school fence. Armin with his mad funny face just following her.

"WHY YOU ALWAYS IGNORING ME. I AIN'T INVISIBLE! UR MEAN,"

Annie continue walking while ignoring Armin. She actually don't know what to say. She's a quiet person and it's hard to communicate with someone for her. For her it's just wasting her time. She don't really care if she doesn't have any friends. But this guy..she dont know if she could considered him as one of her friend or not.

"SHE'S IGNORING ME AGAIN..Hmmmmm..oh!"

Armin started to grab Annie's arm and run till they arrived at bus stop.

A few minutes later, Armin saw a taxi and started to waving his hand to the driver. Armin opened the back seat door.

"Ladies first,"

Armin bow like he's a "gentlman". Annie feels weird but she just get in the taxi and sit on the backseat. Armin started to sit beside Annie. They both look at each other for a seconds. Armin smiles. Annie stunned again. Why he always smiling for no reason. His eyes are beautiful though. And sparkling. While mine doesn't even sprakling.

She keep staring at Armin. His smile warm her heart.

"My smile is beautiful isn't it?"

Armin asked with his "proud" face.

Annie's heart jump a little and then she answered.

"No,"

Armin gasp.

"HOW DARE YOU SAID THAT- YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID MY SMILE IS BEAUT-"

"Ehem ehem, so where do you want to go, sir?"

Armin hard like a rock, he feels a bit embarassed because he's being too loud.

"Uh uh uh- the nearest amusement park-"

"Alright,"

The taxi driver started the engine and leaving the school. Armin look at Annie again and he smiles. Annie sighs. She don't know why she's following a stranger to amusement park. But at the same time she feels safe and Armin looks like a nice person.
