Chapter 15 - Betrayal
"Hello, Kirstein, let's meet now, I'm here at John's coffee shop!" Mabelle said energetically. "Ok, all right, I'm going right now!" I hastily said, and I went down the escalator, and went to the coffee shop, and I saw Mabelle sitting in a chair and drinking a coffee shake, I approached her immediately.
"Hi! Mabelle!"
"Hello Kirstein!" she said cheerfully.
"I saw Alison and Gong-li together!" I blurted out. Mabel was suddenly motionless, she can't look straight into my eyes. "Mabel, what is happening?" I curiously asked her.
Her gestures seems strange. And then she looked at me.
"I'll tell you the truth Kirstein, you know, Gong-Li will recruit us,"
"Us?"
"Sorry to tell you, only me and Alison, and we will go to the Octagon Kizoku Club today," she sheepishly said.
I was shocked on what she said. I can't say anything, as if my body was immobile.
"And we can finally get in there!" Mabele said, she looks so excited when she said that.
"B-but I should be with you?" I told her with a lot of questions on my face.
"But sorry Kirstein, Alison and I were the only ones who are invited by him," Mabel said and she could not look into my eyes directly.
"But why? I have to go with you?" I asked in disbelief.
"I don't know with Alison, but Gong-Li only takes the two of us, sorry for you," she stated.
"What? This is impossible! I was the first who meet Gong-Li, he is my friend, a way back before!" I said, feeling annoyed.
"I'm so sorry Kirstein," Mabel simply said.
"I was just wondering, why Alison is with Gong-Li? What is going on?" I furrowed my eyebrows as I asked her, but Mabel just shrugged her shoulders. "You went home with Alison ahead of me when we last met, right? Alison wasn't interested, right? What is going on?" I asked continuously, Mabele noticed that I seemed to be annoyed.
"This is what happened Kirstein, when you left, Alison said that she wanted to be friends with Gong-Li, so we chased him, and we caught up with him. And you know? It seems that Gong-li felt a love at first sight with Alison.
Flashback
As Alison convinced Kirstein to go home, she winked at Mabele. And while Kirstein were talking to Gong-Li.
Alison mumbled to Mabel. "Pretend that you want to go home, I have a plan," Alison whispered to Mabel's ears,
"What?" She whispered back. "Take my lead, ok?" She mumbled.
"All right," Mabel mumbled back, and after a while, she also convinced Kirstein to go home.
"Kirstein, let's go home," Mabel said.
And when they saw Kirstein hurrying to the bus station, Alison dragged Mabel.
"Come Mabel, let's go with Gong-li!" Alison hastily said.
"What about Kirstein, why did you send Kirstein home?" Mabel mumbled while they were hurrying away from her.
