Chapter 52: Rumors
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it,"
Adrian said, getting off the bed. He grabbed a towel, wrapped it around his lower body, and walked out of the room.
Noah lay on the bed, his eyes fixed on the ceiling, his heart hammering in his chest. He still couldn't believe he had given in to his desires. He hadn't thought he would accept Adrian again so quickly, if ever.
His thoughts were interrupted when his phone vibrated. He picked it up and saw a message from Mia, reminding him of the work he needed to finish tonight. He immediately grabbed his laptop and sat on the bed.
"What are you doing?" Adrian asked, walking back into the room with food.
"Nothing, just work," Noah replied, his slender fingers flying over the keyboard.
"Leave work and have something," Adrian said, shutting Noah's laptop and putting it aside.
"I..." Noah began, but Adrian placed a finger on his lips, silencing him.
