Chapter: 40 Cang Yue’s preparation

---Blue Wind Empire Palace—

In the chamber of the Emperor there is a man that lay on a bed that looks like he will die any moment but the gaze he have is as if he decided on something.

"Old Dongfang call Yue'er over I have something important to tell her and make sure to be discreet." said the man on the bed.

"As you wish Emperor." said an old man with white beard who suddenly appear in front of the man on the bed with a bow before leaving, the man who lay on the bed is Cang Wanhe the current Emperor of Blue Wind Empire, who was diagnosed by the Godly Doctor Gu Qiuhong to be sick that only has 5 more years to live.

After the old man Dongfang left Cang Wanhe stare at the ceiling wondering why his sons are so stupid to be fighting against each other for the seat of Emperor, he suddenly miss the old days when he was young he was a genius who had married the most gentle woman of Blue Wind Empire and became a royal couple, blessed by the whole country then his wife became pregnant and give birth to his children he wonder why his sons turn into arrogant fools who want to be Emperor while fighting each other, thankfully his daughter Cang Yue didn't became like them she is much more like her mother kind beautiful and compassionate.

--Few minutes later--

A beautiful blackish blue haired girl wearing golden robes and a crown opened the door and run near Cang Wanhe's side and kneel.

"Royal Father, Senior Dongfang told me that you have something to say to." said the girl with a sad face looking at her weak father on the bed.

"Cang Yue my daughter I can feel that my time is almost up and before that, I want you to become the next ruler of our Blue Wind Empire." said Cang Wanhe while looking at his only daughter his only child who genuinely care for his well-being.

"What, father please don't say that you are still alive and we don't know when you are going to suddenly recover." said Cang Yue while holding her father's hand and hearing that Cang Wanhe just smile and pat her daughter's head.

"Yue'er you are the only one fit to be the next ruler of our empire you know that your brothers are useless who will definitely destroy our empire if they become emperor." said Cang Wanhe with a sigh hearing that made Cang Yue even sadder, since she know how disappointing her brothers fighting for the throne instead of helping their father recover.

"Alright father I will become stronger and claim the throne for myself but father I want you to know that if ever you recover I will pass it back to you." said Cang Yue with tears flowing from her eyes, and hearing that made Cang Wanhe smile since he is indeed not wrong to pass the throne to his daughter.

Cang Wanhe suddenly took out a green jade from his spatial ring and gave it to his daughter and upon receiving it Cang Yue can feel a deep connection between her and the green jade.

"Daughter you can feel it right the connection between you and the jade, the truth is this is from the imperial treasury that was passed on by our ancestors this jade is a teleportation jade that will bring you to a place where our ancestor made a test, a place you can become stronger but there are a lot of dangers in there it is only to be given to the most talented person of our royal family." said Cang Wanhe surprising Cang Yue looking at the green jade in her hand for this is the first time she heard that their ancestors made a test for their successors.

"But father I am only a True Profound Realm I don't think my measly cultivation will be able to take whatever is in that place." said Cang Yue with a sad tone since she knew that she was weak.

"Alright royal father I will now prepare myself so please wait for me to return." said Cang Yue and wiped her tears before standing up and bade her father farewell to start her preparations.

Once she was outside the room she ask a random servant to call for palace chief Qin to meet her inside her own room, she enter her room and start preparing her clothes and a few moments later a knock was heard on her door.

"Palace Chief Qin Wuyou is here on the call of the princess." said a voice outside the room.

"Come in Elder Qin." said Cang Yue after finish storing her clothes inside her spatial ring and then an old man enter and respectfully bow to Cang Yue.

"Elder Qin I will be gone in the palace for a long time so, I hope you can gather the things I write on this paper discreetly without any servants of my royal brothers knowing and give it to me tomorrow morning." said Cang Yue before giving Qin Wuyou a paper that she write the list of things she needed in her travel, then Qin Wuyou left the room to gather the things that the princess ordered and since Cang Yue have a lot of free time she decided to take a good night sleep.

When morning arrived Cang Yue woke up and started checking her spatial ring to see if she is missing anything before Qin Wuyou enter the room and give her the items she need.

She looked inside the spatial ring that Palace Chief Qin hold there are a lot of food/rations enough to last her for a month and then she thanked Chief Qin.

"Princess are you going to leave now." said Qin Wuyou the bodyguard of Cang Yue with a worried voice.

"Yes Elder Qin for I need to become stronger and while I am away please keep an eye on imperial father." said Cang Yue to which Palace Chief Qin nod and left the room, after seeing him left Cang Yue took out the green jade from her spatial ring and insert her profound energy inside and a flash of green light envelop the whole room after that the princess vanish from her position.
