You're My Princess

"Lily...hold on. Don't let go." The little boy was so frantic and sweating all over. He is holding the hand of a little girl hanging on a cliff.

"Ze..ge.., I'm scared. I....I...can't hold on any longer." The little girl had a teary eye and scare was written on her face. She was trembling all over.

"No....please!!! D-don't...don't let go. Don't let go of my hand!!!" The boy was stubbornly holding the hand of the girl refusing to let go. But the little girl's hand continues to loosen. And then, 'Swisssh'....."Ahhhhhhh"

"Liiilllllyyyyyy....."

"Whhhoaa!!! hufff...hufff..." The man was awaken by the nightmare. His breathing was unsteady and her chest is so stuffy.

After his breathing was steady, he got out of his room and head to the kitchen to drink some water.

He gulp a lot of water before putting the bottle down. He can't stop thinking about the nightmare. It's been Eighteen years and he had stop having that nightmare long ago. Why did he dreamed about that again?

It started Eighteen years ago. Lily was his childhood sweetheart and she was first grade while Zeki was fourth grade back then. And the whole school was having a field trip together with the children's parents.

They were playing hide and seek with his childhood friends and one of them is Lily.

"You loss Zeki, quick! quick! turn around and close your eyes. We'll go hiding." His friend Shenzo keep pestering him. He was ready to turn around but he was stop when Xiumei talk.

"Zeki, if you find me first I'm going to marry you in the future." Xiumei smile with an arrogant look.

"No, I'm going to marry Lily not you Xiumei. I like Lily the most and no one can change that." Zeki said resolutely.

"Re-really Ze ge?" the little girl Lily said shyly was blushing like a tomato.

"Of course Lily. You're my princess." The little boys eyes was sparkling in admiration and tenderly caressing the little girls face. Lily can't help but bow down her head shyly because of the little boys tender touch.

"hummp!!! she's way too younger for you Zeki. We're much compatible cause we are in the same age." Xiumei sent and envious look at Lily and pouted in irritation.

"hey...hey...stop it already. Let's just continue to play." Wenzo the twin brother of Shenzo stop them with an impatient look.

"Yeah...quick Zeki, close your eyes." The little boy on the side Jinroung also added while giggling.

"Alright, I'll count one to ten. Lily, my princess. Don't go too far okay." Zeki reminded Lily with a worry in his eyes.

"hmmm" Lily nodded repeatedly and smile at Zeki.

"hummmmp!!!" Xiumei harrumph and murmured something that only herself can hear.

"ok, I'll start now." Zeki turn around facing the big tree and close his eyes while counting.

"got yah Shenzo"

"ahh, how come you found me first?" Shenzo said while stumping his foot.

"hey Jinroung..I got you."

"Uh." Jinroung scratch his head and got up.

"found you Wenzo"

"haissst." Wenzo comes out from a tree.

"Hey, did you see Lily?" Zeki ask the three with farrowed brows.

"We don't know where she is." Wenzo said while shaking his head.

"Hey Zeki, you're cheating. Go look yourself. We won't tell you even if we know where they are." Shenzo said with a smirk.

"Yeah, go look further Zeki. I'm sure she's just nearby with Xiumei. We'll wait you here."Jinroung said approvingly.

"Uh..Okay." Zeki continued to look further as what his friend said. He's been looking for sometime but she couldn't find both of them. He's starting to grow impatient so he started calling them.

"Lily....Lily.... Xiumei. Where are you?"

"Lily....are you there?"

"Hey Lily... it's almost time for lunch, stop hiding okay." Zeki was looking for sometime but he couldn't find them. He started to felt uneasy so he look further to the forest but still no one responds to his call. He was now worried about Lily. Although Xiumei was his friend, he only has Lily on his mind right now.

"Lily.., come out...it's not safe in here." He didn't stop finding Lily as he felt that their is something wrong happening. He was suspicious as to why he wasn't able to find her this far. She can't possibly gone too far cause he reminded her already. He was worried that Lily might encounter a wild animals and be scared to death or worst got bitten.

While he was thinking of what might happen to Lily, he suddenly heard a familiar voice shouting at some distance.

"Lily"

He quickly ran to the direction where the voice came from and to his surprise, he saw a cliff ahead and no ones around.

"Lily, where are you? Let's head back."

"I-i'm here....h-help me p-please."

Not until he heard the hoarse voice did he lower her head and saw a little hand clutching in the rock. He quickly go forward and squat to grab the hand tightly.

"God Lily.... Hold tightly in my hand. I'll pull you up." Zeki attempted to pull Lily upward but Lily's hand slid lightly because of the sweat from Lily's hand. He was so frightened that he started sweating all over.

"Ze ge, I'm scared. Please save me I don't wanna die." Lily was so scared and her body was trembling. Tears started to roll down on her chicks and sob heavily.

Zeki felt a piercing pain irking in his chest by the sight of Lily's hurtful image.

"I'll save you my princess, just hold tightly in my hand."

"But I'm tired, my arm hurt so much." Lily started to weaken while her hand continuously slipping slowly.

"No, you can do it. We can do it. Just don't let go." Zeki was so anxious trying to hold back Lily's hand.

"I-I can't."

"Lily...hold on. Don't let go." The little boy was so frantic and sweating all over. He is holding the hand of a little girl hanging on a cliff.

'Splassshhh'

Splashes of water could be heard. Their was a wide and deep river down the cliff. The water flows faster and Lily couldn't be seen anymore.

Zeki was there kneeling while shouting Lily's name while tears rolled heavily down his chicks.
