Melody of Silent Waters [BL]

‘“You killed him. It’s your fault!” San started crying and shaking, his stomach was trying to fly out of his body. His mind was trying to destroy him. It would be better if he died there too. It would be better if he died.’ Yang Shan moved to Hong Kong with his parents after surviving a disaster. He left his past behind and ran away, carrying his trauma with him. Teasing

He was the one to suffer the most. He was suffering. In both games they've played he had to take care of the girl. And it was painfully hard. She had the most accurate guess of where to run if you wanted to meet your enemy. Like it was impossible. Everywhere she went there they were, ready to kill her.

They finished the game with an accurate win of one-to-one and finally got to get up from the chairs. Shan was standing next to Chao who rummaged through his jacket's pockets and then gave a small package to Shan.

Heating pads. Shan's hands, especially fingers, would get really cold, almost freezing to the point that in real games he had to warm them up in between the games.

"Thank," he said and gladly took it. He was looking down at the floor and playing with the pads, feeling his fingers getting warmer again. Chao just smiled and gave one more to Yitian. Later he became a talk on Twitter and Instagram again because he was such a caring person.

"Wow, that was amazing. You've managed to win both games. And BearCute must be so over the moon, right?" MC exclaimed and the woman that was standing next to Shan jerked herself. Shan frowned. Why was she dozing away? It was her time to shine.

"Yes, I became even more die-hard fan than I was before. Especially after playing with HNYG, I can't help but fangirl…!" she pointed with her hand at Shan, who politely lifted the corners of his mouth, and waited until the mic got to him.

"Thank you. It was my pleasure. We hoped you would enjoy the game," he said, copying Chao's words one by one. And not caring. Shan blinked many times because of the lights that shone his way and felt a sharp pain behind his left eye. Why did it happen all at the same time? Because today wasn't his lucky day. He passed the mic to the girl again and breathed out, trying to dissipate the migraine. Rilla passed him a bottle of water and Shan thankfully looked at him and drank almost half of it.

It helped.

The interview continued for a while. Both teams were standing there, the players fidgeting, ready to go home. And when it finally ended, they were almost racing to sit down. If they were to bet on a race, Heaven would win, even though he sat in the third row.

The one losing would be Shan because he was busy catching the girl. She was running from the stage as quickly as they were, but in the process, she almost fell from the stairs. Shan saw it and quickly caught her. Thankfully he was always ready to catch Lucy when she visited because she struggled with balance.

"Thank you very much," the girl whispered and blushed shyly. Shan helped to steady her up and nodded, wanting to get away. He sat down and ignored the snickering faces made at him by his teammates.

"So? How was it?" Wuchen chuckled.

"Pain in the ass," Shan grunted and ignored him even harder. Now there were some other matches for fun. Hide and seek, but thankfully no one from Zhu long except Wuchen was drawn, so now they all enjoyed his torment. If Shan was playing that, they would have won. This way Sihu from MME won instead.

"You were right. It's a pain in the ass," Wuchen said. His ass wasn't even on the chair yet. It made Shan chuckle.

"Finally, you smiled today. You looked like an old Grinch…" Yitian teased him a bit more, but it would probably be more effective if Shan knew what Grinch was.

Jiun showed up on the stage for the last round of hide and seek, and Shan started fidgeting with his fingers. He could feel a grievous feeling at the back of his head and his chest tightened. But picking on his fingers and breathing deeply helped him calm down.

"Stop it. You are already bleeding," Yitian next to him hissed and pointed down at his head. Shan looked at his hands and the skin around his nail on his thumb was torn and he was bleeding quite a lot.

Yixing from the other side passed him tissues, and Shan wrapped it around his thumb. Shit.

"Thanks," he said, knowing no one around them would see it. The closing music was playing and everyone was already standing up to go up the stage for the last time.

"Hide it behind your back. So it wouldn't be seen on the stream." Shan nodded at Yixing's suggestion and followed Yitian on the stage, hiding his hand. If he were to have it in his pocket, it would look rude. Behind his back, it was okay, even polite.

"Those are our team!" MC shouted and half of them jerked when the cannons on the side shot out smoke and confetti after that. Shan grabbed some mid-air and shoved them inside his pocket. Keepsake.

"Let's go home," Hongjie mumbled backstage, but Huobai shook his head.

"We can't. There is still the fan meet and signing part of the event. Shan forgot about that part, and so did almost everyone who was in the range of hearing Huobai. A collection moan sounded through the backstage and later in the waiting room once the teammates relayed the message.

Shan went to his backpack and took out the perfume he loved. He slightly sprayed some on his wrist, rubbed them together, and then rubbed them again on his neck. He took out the hand cream and put some on his hands.

His hands were the only thing he was taking care of no matter what. He has done it for almost twenty years already.. He took out the bandaid he had in his backpack too and just placed it around his thumb. Accidents happen.

"Zhu long is the third one in the line for the fan meet. You are due in half an hour. Every team has thirty minutes only, but there are two teams at the same time." The staff relayed the message that they could do whatever. Someone turned on the TV in the waiting room they shared with two other teams. Claw Esports, seventh in line, and Sapphire Gaming tenth in line. Shan would die of boredom if it were him.

He took out his headphones and played some music in them. But his efforts were destroyed by Wuchen, who simply took them out. He came with two really young-looking players in the CE uniform.

"There are your fans, but they were afraid to approach you. Have a nice talk." He waved and Shan wanted to kick his ass. He turned off the music and looked at those two fidgeting.

"Sit down, we have plenty of time…" he said and pointed to the seats that were free next to him. He wanted to be somewhere else at this point. But everything was so he could play. Everything for him.
