Fate

"Mom, why can't I go to Jeju Island? Everybody else goes." San pouted his lips and his eyes watered with tears he needed to let out. It was too much for him. He was overworked and he could do nothing about it.

"Because it's a time you could spend practicing," his mother said, standing above him, controlling all his homework and piano sheets.

"Mom, I can't… I need a break, please!" San pleaded, but it did nothing. His mother was a teacher herself, so she expected a lot from Shan. He couldn't even play games with Woojin the last two weeks because she observed his every step. 

San placed his elbows on the top of the table and placed his head into his hands. He started crying. He could see how the practice papers became wavy from the tears that were falling down his eyes.

"Don't think that crying will make it better. I think you are going through puberty. You are so unruly, almost rebellious," she said, still calm as the nature before the storm.
