Su Jian's eyes seemed to be staring off into space, almost as if she were daydreaming, so much so that she hardly reacted even when the nurse gave her an injection.
However, Su Jian's veins were fine and tricky to locate, and the nurse, apparently a novice, didn't manage to get the needle in on the first try; only then did Su Jian react with pain, snapping back to reality.
The nurse quickly apologized to her, feeling guilty.
Su Jian smiled and indicated that it was no issue.
Just as the nurse was preparing to give her the second injection, Su Jian noticed something out of the corner of her eye on the IV bag's label and suddenly changed her expression, "Wait!"
She quickly withdrew her hand, "Did you get the wrong medication? I'm allergic to this one."
Although Su Jian sounded calm and rational, she was actually sweating coldly. Had she not noticed the medication error in time, she could have been in mortal danger!
