IDK WHY BUT I LOVE THE NUMBER OF THIS CHAPTER 🙃.
----------------------------
After my talk with Elizabeth, it was time for my last class for the day and I went to attend it. Usually I would've just slacked off and patroled my area but right now my head is dizzy from thinking.
Going into class, I found Feyrith and Ash sitting there. We all came early so the room was pretty empty and the teacher is still not here.
"Hoho my rival is attending classes now?" Feyrith stood from his chair waiving his hand, while Ash just nodded his head at me.
Approaching both of them with a serious expression I said. "Boys! The situation is dire! I need your guidance."
"Huh? Whats the matter? Its not everyday that you use the word dire." Ash said.
"There is those two people im in love and they love me too but... I dont know who to choose." I said with a wry smile.
"Just out of curiosity, who are those two?" Ash asked.
"Its Elizabeth and Lucy..." The moment I said that, Ash's face turned ugly really quick. He have the exact same face as Takehito from prison school, gazing at me as if I killed his most loved.
"You want to get me killed? Im not getting involved in this at all. You know how Lucy is man." He leaned back ok his chair, then Kathyln walked into the room. She gave us a glance and ignored us walking to one if the chairs on the other side.
Seeing her, Ash immedietly stood from his seat. "Duty calls me guys, good luck Meliodas with that." He then went to sit next to the princess and started talking with her, Kathyln seemed to open up as a almost invisible smile appeared on her face while interacting with Ash.
"Their relation seems to be very good. She is very cold and distant. She barely talks with anyone else except him." Feyrith said, he seems to be a little bit jealous too.
"Yeah..." From the day Ash saved her she became friendly with him, she even came to look for him the other day. "But do you have some advice for me?"
"Indeed, indeed. This royal here and his 100 girlfriends experience does have great advice indeed." He started speaking like a wise man.
"Okay I get it just shut up." I crossed my and under my chest.
"HUUH?" He got really close to me face. "Dont you want my advice?"
Pushing his face away with my right hand I said. "Not anymore."
"I think you should test them, the one who passes the test is the one you should have!" He waived his index around shamelessly.
"Didnt I just tell you that I dont to hear it from you?" I looked at him with a poker face.
While we were having this conversation, the room was getting full of students, gossip and conversation filling it at the same time. Most of the talk was about the new first years years student becoming a teacher.
And as if by chance, Arthur entred the classroom as he walked to the middle of the room, taking small hops towards the moveable podium that was placed in the center of the small stadium since he was still injured from that day.
After making a short introduction, a dumb second years didnt accept the fact that a freshman became the teacher so he decided to challenge Arthur after seeing that most of the students were on his side.
*Sigh* "Bakana..." I whispered under my breath.
But Arthur was very collected and professional dealing with him without anyone getting hurt. 'If it was me I probably would've beaten his ass out of the class."
Anyways the class was very interesting, even more productive than the adult teachers with their decades of experience, but all of what he said, I already im aware of it, while other students were suprised and invested in what professor Arthur was preaching.
All was good until I felt two things that placed me on edge. 'Papa, that Mana barrier was deployed again!' Alaya said.
'Yeah I felt it, it's all around the school. But it's not only that, I can feel some sort of evil aura walking around. I need to go, immedietly!' I thought before I standing frol my seat and walking down the stairs of the auditorium.
"Meliodas...?" Feyrith who was sitting next to me asked in confusion but I ignored him.
Walking my way to the door, Arthur spoke. "Hey you, where do you think your going?"
Turning my head towards him, I answered. "Something dangerous will happen, I have to go."
*Sigh* "Alright, take care." He replied.
As I walked out of the room I could hear a lot of complains from student for why he allowed me to leave earlier and he shouted at them. "SHUT UP ALL OF YOU! He is a DC member and he have responsabilities. He's allowed to leave whenever he want. Now lets continue where we stopped."
My senses have always been sharp and strong, they saved my life plenty of times, and this time is no exception. I followed the weird aura I felt earlier until I reached an open space at the right side of the school.
There three figures standing, I only recognised one of them, the one I didn't want to meet at all, Lucas. "What are you doing here the three of you?" I asked with a high tone, more on the authorative side eyeing everyone of them to try and recognize the one emanating that aura.
'It's the one to the right, the fatty definitly is the one. He has something weird in him, I can feel it.' I though to myself.
"Well, well, just because you are the new disciplinary committee president dosent mean you will order around higher people than you around." He sneered, eyeing me with disdain. "I must say, it's quite amusing that someone like you got that position."
I kept my composure, responding calmly with an amused smile, making him angry is my goal. "Titles don't define strength or character. They're earned through actions, not by being pampered around with a golden spoon in your mouth."
He chuckled mockingly, "Actions, you say? I don't see why they chose you. Perhaps they needed a laugh."
Ignoring the jab, I maintained a steady gaze. "Maybe they saw qualities beyond superficial nobility. Leadership isn't about belittling others but guiding them."
He scoffed, "Guiding? Please. I'm born to lead, not follow. Unlike you commoners, I have a legacy to uphold."
I tilted my head, unfazed. "Legacies are built on more than just pride. They require humility and respect for others. Maybe that's why you weren't chosen."
His eyes flared with anger. "You insolent fool! I don't need validation from the likes of you. ."
The skinny kid to his right had a nervous expression on his face as he whispered to Lucas. "H-hey lucas, we shouldn't mess with him dont you recognise him? He's a A rank adventurer and has recently became a noble deisgnated by the king."
Pushing his friend with force making him fall to the ground, Lucas replied to him shouting. "A rank adventurer?! I saw him with my onw eyes, those are only lies to justify his ascention to the noble title, I can beat him. And even if the king says so, a commoner is always a commoner no matter how hard he tries."
I shrugged at his reply, why would I lose my time arguing with an arrogant fool that I will kill soon, im here just for the fatty. "Time will tell..." With a sly grin, I continued. "You wanna beat me? Haha, seems the lap of luxury has made you forget, not everything can be inherited, especially not the balls to back you words, bitch." I emphatized the last word.
Hearing my words, a vein almost exploded on Lucas forehead, he rushed towards me but as he began I activated my demon mark and looked at him dead in the eyes letting all my killing intent fall on him, still looking at his eyes, I smiled in tbe most evil and mischvious manner.
'W-what is going on, my body, I-I cant control it. And what is this feeling, I cant even look at him... Is this, fear? Am I afraid of a damned commoner? Who is he... No, what is he!' Lucas was thinking inside his mind.
Still smiling at him like the devil, I spoke. "You now know that I am not to mess with. What you did to Elizabeth, I'll let it slide for this time and now you know who my friends are, you dont want to be around any them..."
I walked closer to him until I was inches away from his face, and now he was giving a close look to my pitch black eyes that reflected hell, darkness, bottomlessness, and especially Death...
'What is that thing on his forehead? Now im sure, he definitly is not normal. He is a demon, HE IS THE DEVIL!' Lucas though to himself as I continued.
"Consider this a Warning, a threat or even a friendly reminder, whatever suits you, but next time you touch someone dear to me, no one is gonna save you from my wrath." I gave him a friendly smile, that accompanied with my demon mark and black eyes were scarier than any deadstare ever.
Canceling my powers, the pressure disapeared as well as Lucas fell back on his butt after the stifness in his body was gone.
"What is wrong with you Lucas, did you just see a ghost or something? You look as pale as a vampire shishishi." I smiled closing my eyes.
Quickly standing up, he dusted his clothes while walking back staring at me, scared that if his eyes left me even in a second I would jumpscare him or something. "L-let's go both of you..." Lucas said.
'Did he really scare him this much? I never saw Lucas in this state.' The skinny kid thought to himslef, he didn't experience that pressure earlier after all.
'Lucky bastard, I cant kill you until they start... Enjoy your time for now.' Lucas said inside of his head.
As the skinny kid followed him like a dog, the Fatty was the only one standing there still, as he suddently shouted. "NOT YET! THERE STILL A LOT YET! Y-Y-YET!"
