Chapter 7 Kroos

RAZE TECH headquarters.

Sky rising buildings. They were scattered around the area. This was the RAZE TECH headquarters .

There was one building that stood out among the rest. It was the tallest building in the vincinty. The building stretched all the way towards the sky, as if it could reach for the stars. The glassy building reflected the sun giving of it's splendor and beauty.

"Captain you're being summoned into the office." Someone said to a main clad in dark armor. The armor was designed to have no openings, so the captain's expression was not noticed. He merely gave a curt nod in response before heading to the office.

He walked up to a door where the elevator was. Instead he pressed a few buttons on the wall and waited on the side. After a few seconds he was engulfed in a bright light before disappearing.

There were 2000 floors In the building. The top floor were occupied by the higher ups ranging from 1600 and above. Only a selected few were allowed.acess to the top.

The armored captain arrived at the 1599th floor this was the highest he could access. And since it was a summoned he knew the right floor. 1599th downwards were occupied by the company's staff and management.

The 1599th floor was a large spacious room. It walls were replaced with glass that reflected the outside city. The floor was virtually empty excluding the table and chair situated at the far end of the room. Behind the table was a chubby man, obviously 40 to 45 years of age. He was concentrating on the floating screens in front of him.

The armored captain deliberately cleared his throat to make his prescence known. And seemingly it worked.

The Chubby man noticed the person he summoned was here. "Come closer" He said still engrossed on the floating screens.

The captain obeyed as he walked a few steps forward before stopping. Only then did the chubby man glance at him. He dismissed the screen in front of him with a swipe of his hand before sitting upright.

" You sent for me sir?"

"Ah yes, you see the last operation you carried out was not to my taste" he stated, but his tone was exceptionally calm. " Your task was to retrieve the project and dispose of the inconveniences. But you failed Kroos!"

Kroos was silent he was well aware of what happened that day. He was sent to dispose of the two scientists and bring back what they were creating. Unexpectedly one of them was smarter than him. He had teleported it away from them. And the only lead they had were a pad left by their victims.

"We did what we could but we were not expecting the outcome."Said Kroos.

The chubby man 'wilfred' Scoffed at Kross words. He rubbed his fat cheek before sighing. " There a job for you." He paused to observe Kroos behavior, but he was just the same like some robot. Wilfred as was the chubby man's name continued. "We have picked up a signal from our lead." He threw a pad to Kroos which he caught. " From what I gathered, the pod is based on a 24 hour time frame. We have two options. One is to retrieve the pod and the other is to let it detoriates in few hours. Just to be sure, I would go with the first option. Your task is to find and retrieve it. You're dismissed " He waved Kroos after he dismissed him. In turn Kroos replied with a curt nod and.turned back.

Kroos waisted no time in checking the details for his job. The target was in a remote place 'crins ville'

After leaving the floor he arrived at the 200th floor. His appearance caused quite a shock to some people. Practically everyone in the building knew who he was. He was the most domineering and ruthless compared to the other captains in RAZE TECH. He was easily recognized due to his special black armor properties. And overall he was feared.

His presence was like a mountain of pressure on the other staffs who were not on the field job. He proceeded to head out of the building, strangely still on his armor. And it caused a mumur among the staffs.

"Does he ever take of his armor? " asked a curious woman to her co worker

"How would I know, it's not like I live with him"

"Shh quiet down he might hear you" cautioned an employee to the other two.

"Mummy look, over there " a little kid tugged on his mother as he pointed out the window to draw her attention.

"What is it son? Go back to sleep it's almost past midnight!" The mother said half dragging her son to be, but when she looked into the direction in which her son was pointing. She gasped and quickly closed the window.

Outside, Kroos and his squad had teleported in front of the woman's house and her son had taken noticed in which he brought his mother's attention.

Kroos checked the tab and nodded, they were at the right location, they were at crins ville.

It was Kroos first time in crins ville and he had to say, the place was similar to a refuse dump. The tab had showed him the location of the what he was looking for. On the radar showed a newly destroyed area.

"Captain!" One of his men called to him. He glanced at him. "The destroyed area was one of the scientists lab. He had a lab situated here but recently it was destroyed."

"Nice job." Replied Kroos. "That would make it easier for us anyway."

"Let's head out!" Kroos gave the command.

With that Kroos positioned himself as if ready for a s sprinte. Pivoting his left foo on the ground he took off at an incredible and almost inhumane speed. And the rest of the men follow suite but not as impressive as Kroos.

From afar one could see bluring images of fast moving human like figures. They were headed towards the exploded area.

Meanwhile, as Sam entered the pod he felt his consciousness slip away, and he was unaware that Kroos was coming for him.
