CHAPTER 28: CABBAGES

Aqua came back handing another beer to Noctis. He thanked her and took a sip happy with how it tasted. In the next moment however the doors to the guild opened with Chris crying.

Aqua walked up to him "What took you so long?"

Megumin look to Chris who was crying "She doesn't look so happy."

Darkness nodded with a blush "Indeed she was showing Kazuma some thief skills just now. She used it on her stole her panties and then used all the money she had as ransom."

Everyone in the bar started to look over. Kazuma started to freak out "Would you please let me oversee this."

Chris was still crying "I was going to give him back his coin pouch but then he said that wasn't enough. That I had to pay to get my panties back. He forced me to decide what my panties were worth."

Everyone in the bar was in shock except for Kazuma who was freaking out and darkness who had a smile on her face.

Chris cried more "He said if he didn't like the amount, he would have my panties framed and hung up on the wall like a trophy."

Noctis shook his head "Kazuma if you do that to Faye, I'll kill you."

Kazuma quickly shook his hands in front of his head "I would never."

Aqua tilted her head "So did you even learn any skills."

Kazuma smiled "Of course I did. Steal."

In the next moment he was holding a black pair of panties. Megumin looked to the ground blushing "Did you rank up to pervert."

Faye leaned into Noctis "Are you sure it's a good idea to party with them?"

Noctis nodded "They are more competent than they act. At least I think."

Darkness stood in front of Kazuma "Such brutality. Please let me join your party."

Kazuma immediately said "Forget it."

Darkness started to moan and squirm at his quick response. Noctis chuckled watching the show he leaned into Faye "At least we will never be bored."

Faye sighed looking down but looked back up smiling "I guess you're right. I think we might have a good adventure."

Aqua tilted her head "Was this the girl you said wanted to join Kazuma?"

A few minutes later

Kazuma explained to the group how his an Aquas goal was to take on the Devil King. Darkness agreed even though she might become the devil king's plaything. Megumin just wanted to explode the devil king. Noctis smiled saying it would be fun. Faye nodded in agreement.

Right then as the group formed an alarm started to go on the loudspeakers around town. "Emergency quest. Emergency quest. All able body adventurers come to the west gate at once."

Kazuma looked scared "What the hell was that."

Everyone rushed outside towards the gate when the adventurers lined up Noctis looked forward and saw a sea of green. Kazuma stepped back "What is that. Are we about to be attacked by monsters?"

Darkness narrowed her eyes "Not monsters."

Aqua smiled "Not monsters you silly. It's cabbage."

Faye tilted her head confused "Cabbage?"

The whole group of adventurers then shouted, "It's harvest time!"

Aqua yelled out "Unleash the Mayonnaise."

Noctis shrugged "Should be easy with my new magic."

Everyone started to charge while Noctis stayed back. Lucy then announced from the town "The annual harvest season has arrived. For each cabbage you catch you will get ten thousand Eris."

Noctis smiled "Faye make sure you get a lot."

She pulled back an arrow from her bow "Of course."

Noctis smirked as he said, "Shadow Grasp."

All the adventurers stopped swinging their swords at the cabbages confused. All the cabbages were frozen midair. However, if you looked closely shadow tendrils from the cabbages own shadows, we're holding them in place. An arrow was then shot that connected three cabbages together and put them in a predetermined cage. Everyone trailed the arrow to look at Faye who already fired another getting three more cabbages.

Noctis yelled "You guys go ahead and hunt. I'll hold them in place."

Everyone cheered as they went back to catching all the cabbages.

Awhile later

Noctis smirked "So how many cabbages we get Faye."

Faye grabbed a bag full of Eris from Lucy. "We got a million Eris."

Noctis smiled "Good let's finish eating with our party and then find an Inn."

The group partied the whole night with their newfound wealth. Kazuma eventually gave up during the night an allowed her into the group. There was now six of them in the party. Eventually Noctis and Faye were trying their best to carry each other as they were both light weights. Usually, Dain or Krox would take care of them but now they were in a new world.

Megumin and Darkness watched them leave "You think they will be okay."

Darkness shrugged "I hope so."

Darkness then had a blush as she hugged herself "Maybe I should wander the streets alone to see what happens to me."

Megumin looked at her for a moment with slanted eyes thinking how weird Darkness might actually be.

Noctis and Faye made it safely to an inn where they fell on top of each other in a bed both passing out.

The Next Day

Noctis woke up groaning with a slight headache. He checked his phone to see he for some reason woke up early at eight in the morning. He decided to check their status as well.

Once he was done looking, he heard Faye groan next to him. She slowly got up and kissed his cheek. He had a gentle smile "Good morning."

She stretched her body out and yawned "Moorrrnning."

Noctis got up and sighed "Come on let's go. We'll see if the others are at the guild."

Awhile later

Noctis and Faye walked into the guild to see Kazuma filling a glass cup with water magic. He then took a drink of it. Noctis tilted his head "Is it okay to drink water from magic you created?"

Kazuma shrugged "Why wouldn't it be."

Noctis shrugged back "I just assumed it's like drinking your own piss or something since magic comes out of your body."

Kazuma slowly narrowed his eyes at the empty class cup thinking about what Noctis had just said. The trio then heard moaning. Faye pointed to Megumin "What's she doing?"

Kazuma sighed "Grinding against her staff saying how much she loves it."

They then heard a soft "I love you manatite staff."

Darkness then came up showing off her repaired armor "Does my armor not look brilliant?"

Kazuma sighed "It looks like the stuff a spoiled ass aristocrat would wear."

Noctis was about to say something, but they then heard Aqua crying to Luna as she shook her "What do you mean I'm not getting that much money. I caught all those cabbages."

Faye leaned over to Noctis "You're right. It definitely will not be boring around this group."

(A/N Hey sorry for not uploading I've had a weird few days and motivation has been in the toilet. I'll try to come up with a schedule to be more consistent.)
