Chapter 22: A Party

Elegast frowned as he looked at Noctis and Faye who were still in each other's arms. Elegast walked up as he got closer, he was staring at Noctis.

When he was right in front of them, they let each other go as he turned to Faye, and she took a step forward.

He looked towards his daughter an asked, "Is this what you want?"

Faye nodded with a serious face "Yes."

Elegast stared at his daughter for a moment either going over his own thoughts or trying to read hers. He looked up at the sky sighing "Well who am I to argue if it's what you want."

Noctis walked up "So you are okay with me?"

Elegast scoffed "Let's not get ahead of ourselves boy. I'm simply allowing my daughter to have what she wants."

Noctis rolled his eyes "Whatever you say old man."

Elegast widened his eyes "Old man? I'll have you know I'm not even a thousand years old yet."

Noctis was shocked "Really I thought you were well over two thousand. Well, I guess that is what happens when you don't take care of your body."

Elegast quickly grabbed Noctis as he lifted Noctis up in the air "What did you say?"

Noctis faked concern "Oh no, is he losing his hearing now as well?"

Elegast was about to say something else as was Noctis but they then both heard two distinct coughs. They turned around and saw Faye and Tari glaring daggers at them. Tari walked over and pulled Elegast by the ear as Faye did the same to Noctis.

Noctis looked at Faye who was pouting "Why are you trying to start something with my father. It's going to be hard enough to get him to like you."

On the other end Tari was frowning "Why are you doing this Elegast. That's our future son in law you know."

Both Noctis an Elegast were then berated about their behavior for a couple of hours. Until finally they could be let go for the party and festival.

A huge festival was going on throughout the whole kingdom. However, Noctis and most of the royalty were having a party inside the castle.

There was currently a huge banquet with Noctis, Faye, Elegast and Tari at the head of the table. Many people offered their congratulations to the happy couple. Elegast was enjoying the banquet himself as well despite the misgivings he has for Noctis.

Noctis had started to drink as well as Faye. But Faye had learned to drink slowly seeing how much of a light weight she was last time.

Noctis leaned into Faye "This is way more fun than I thought it would be. Plus, here I thought an all-vegetarian meal would be bad."

Faye giggled "Maybe you should make the transition to be a vegetarian."

Noctis looked at her with a bored look "No chance in hell."

Noctis took another drink as a random elf on the table said "Noctis we have been told that you are a high rank adventurer. Care to tell us one of your stories?"

Noctis took a gulp of his drink and smirked as he stood up on the table with a red hue gracing the tips of his ears. Faye face palmed as she realized he was already starting to become drunk.

Noctis smiled "Of course I have some amazing tales."

After a bit of prologue to the story he was telling Noctis said "So there I was surrounded by a hundred goblins. No escape in sight. It was just myself and the person I was tasked with rescuing."

You could hear the gasps throughout the castle as everyone was paying attention to the story. Noctis was surprisingly a good storyteller. Even though this story was complete fiction. The elves in the room were hanging onto every word.

After a while Noctis neared the end and said "I then had to push through the pile of goblin bodies I had created myself with one arm broken I dragged the girl out of the cave with my teeth. I then returned her home where she was reunited with her family."

Faye giggled as she leaned to her mother Tari "Who would believe that."

They then saw Elegast stand up and say "Perhaps I was wrong about you Noctis. You are truly a great warrior."

Faye and Tari turned in shock only to see a similar red hue spread across Elegast's face and ears.

Noctis started to laugh as he put his arm around Elegast "So what about you king I'm sure you have a great story to tell us."

Elegast smiled as he stood on the table as well "Indeed I do. So, there I was surrounded by a hundred wolves. Nothing but a dagger to my name."

Tari and Faye looked at each other in shock. Maybe the two were more similar than they previously thought.

Awhile later the party and Festival eventually ended. Tari had taken Elegast to their room as he was too drunk to walk by himself. As Faye did the same taking Noctis to her room.

Noctis had his arm around Faye as they walked into her room. Noctis started to laugh "You know your old man isn't so bad. Anyone who can take on a hundred wolves with one dagger has too at least be interesting."

Elegast was saying a similar thing about Noctis in his room. Faye rolled her eyes "Well I suppose as long as you two get along."

Noctis smiled as he kissed her cheek. "I never got a chance to tell you, but you look beautiful in that dress."

Faye blushed "Thank you. I thought you might not like it considering you only usually see me in adventuring clothes."

Noctis rolled his eyes "You could wear a brown sack made of string and I would still think you look beautiful."

Faye blushed even more as she leaned in and kissed Noctis. Noctis reciprocated and then after a moment they separated.

Noctis started to take off all his clothes leaving only his undergarments on. Only one pair of underwear kept him from being completely naked as he went into the bed. Noctis looked over at Faye who was stood still like a statue.

Noctis smiled "Well you going to join me in bed?"

Faye blushed but nodded cutely "Give me a moment I'm going to head to the bathroom. Turn towards the wall I want it to be a surprise."

Noctis nodded as he turned around facing the wall. Faye quickly went to the bathroom as she began to change into a night gown that was very thin and almost completely transparent. She looked at herself in the mirror to make sure she was ready. Faye smiled as she pumped herself up.

Faye came back in the room and got to the side of the bed. "Noctis you can turn around now."

Noctis did not move. Faye then said a little louder "Noctis you can turn around!"

Faye stomped her foot "Are you going to make me do all the work?"

She then reached over and made Noctis turn. When Noctis turned to lay on his back. Faye was shocked to find him asleep. Faye pouted "I got all dressed up and the booze got to him first."

She then smiled however "Well he does look pretty cute when he sleeps."

She then got in bed with him. Noctis had instinctively wrapped his arms around Faye as he mumbled in his sleep Faye's name.

Faye just snuggled closer as she slowly started to fall asleep.
