Traveling on Foot
The day of the competition was getting closer, but due to the backlash from pushing himself by condensing six Golden Cores at once, Quinlan woke up only after a long time had passed.
"Ugh...!" He groaned lightly, holding his head as he sat up. "This place is...?"
Looking around, he found the place familiar. It was his room, specifically the room assigned to him within the Lord's mansion.
"Miss Yinuo, you finally woke up."
And as if it were the most natural thing, one of the twin maids, the one tasked with observing him, Lianhua, was respectfully bowing beside the bed.
"Sorry to bring it up at this time, but there are only two days left before the tournament begins. We should head to the venue now, or we would be late."
"You are..." Quinlan squeezed his brows, practically glaring at her. "One of the Lord's maids?"
