After Quinlan's fight, there were still 15 matches remaining before the next round began. As such, they didn't want to miss any of the following matches.
As the tournament progressed, the contenders started to pull out trump cards that could sometimes surprise even the senior disciples. The battles were still mostly an equal exchange, however, especially for those in Quinlan's bracket.
And for Xiyadie's bracket, two of the three matches ended in a single move again. Right, it was those two, who they anticipated would end up facing Xiyadie later on.
"As expected, they're strong," Quinlan commented, worrying about Xiyadie. "They haven't even shown anything beyond their first move!"
Xu Mei shrugged her shoulders as she also gave her piece. "Well, they're already in their 3rd year here, so it's obvious they'll be more skilled than the fresh disciples. There's also their level of cultivation to take into consideration."
