Slippery Opponent
As soon as the fight was over, Quinlan's Doppel fell to its knees. Yinuo's nerves were already tired from controlling this wild-beast-like Doppel. All four cores had reached their limit, despite Yinuo trying to lower her power usage.
Since it refused to move, given that it was heavily damaged, it had to be hauled by a truck to return to its hangar.
In the meantime, Yinuo was called to one of the VIP stands. After leaving Quinlan's Doppel, she was guided by a bulky man in a suit and wearing angular, black sunglasses toward the elevator.
"We are about to enter the VIP stand. There's not only the chairman there but also a few of the top sponsors of the college, so watch your words and actions."
Just as they were approaching the top, the guard suddenly began talking with a sidelong gaze. Yinuo turned to the man and squinted. Is he being nice or simply warning her? She couldn't guess.
