Revenge Match Against the Tiger!
When Quinlan opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was that the entire place was dark. "Where did the light go?" He wondered as he looked around before giving up and pulling his glowing purple crystal out once again.
"Hmmm?"
Then he began to inspect himself. He noticed at once that he actually broke through the 9th stage and reached the 10th stage, the Peak of Qi Refining Stage. However, he didn't rejoice but rather frowned.
"Only the 10th?" He whispered, confused.
Based on Wysteria's urging, he hoped to at least gain a few more levels above that, but he only rose one level!
"Wis? What's going on? I thought you said it'd be beneficial... I used a Qi Gathering Pill and barely broke through to the 10th Stage!" He asked, but the poor monkey herself was confused too.
[This can't be. The Qi around here should've been enough to let you reach Golden Core in one go, Master! I'm not sure myself why you only raised by one level.]
