>Chapter 35<

It was around 7am. The sunlight wasn't really visible because the boys were currently underground walking to class after a day of just being lazy. The other boys got to know Frederick during that time. You could say that we could now be considered friends, even if they hadn't known each other for a very long time.

Of course, the boys didn't forget to train their magic control in the morning. Albert said that it should be enough for a day's worth of training and since they didn't want to overwork themselves, they decided to skip lunch and evening practice.

They opened the door to the classroom and saw that they were the only ones there.

"Looks like were the first ones here." Frederick said. "You won't mind if I sit next to you guys, right?"

The boys didn't really mind him sitting next to them. They weren't children to be annoyed by something like this and honestly, they didn't really care.

They then went to their seats and sat down. Now, all they had to do was wait for the instructor… And they didn't have to wait very long, since the classroom filled up quite quickly.

Instructor Vernal soon appeared inside the classroom and looked at the students, as if he was waiting for something. And he doesn't have as much patience as a normal person would have…

"What are you waiting for? Are we not greeting each other? Come on, stand up."

He clapped his hands and his stare made the class full of teenagers straighten on their legs almost immediately.

"Good. Now you can sit down." He continued. "Today, we will be talking about our plan for the year…"

A long, long lesson followed right after he started his sentence. Most of the students were really bored and didn't really pay attention. Our boys were almost the only ones who attentively listened. They didn't get any explanation about magic particles and magic overall. Who would be curious about things they hadn't seen before? Honestly, most of the students looked at the five humans weirdly, because they reminded them of little babies being curious about every single thing they saw. So, the only reasonable thing for the students to do was to label them as a weird group and stay away from them.

The boys didn't really mind. They had no intention of making friends here. First thing's first, they needed to learn how to survive in this world. They had more than one encounter which almost resulted in them being turned into corpses.

"…There are four main classes that you have to attend with some additional optional classes that you can pick from the list I will give you later." He said as he started to point at the board behind him that somehow showed pictures of different classrooms. "Here you can see different classroom used for all kinds of classes. First of all, the four main classes are: Magic practice, Physical strengthening, Magic theory and General knowledge class…"

The boys looked at the projected images without any reaction. They already saw this kind of technology in their original world. It wouldn't be weird to forget that they were in another world when they are so focused on the class, though, once realization came, their eyes widened. They didn't think that you could project images from your mind onto physical objects.

Looks like magic has more uses than just fighting, the boys thought.

It was actually just a misunderstanding from their part. The first time they see magic in novels or movies, it was always used for only offensively, sometimes to support them during the fight, one example being flight, or maybe it was just because they had only been using it to fight up until now.

They severely underestimated the all the uses it could have, it's potential was practically limitless if it could somehow project images from the brain. An organ even modern medicine couldn't fully understand. And here, they just used it as easily as moving.

The boys couldn't help but feel excited. The thoughts about all of the uses of magic were never-ending. How absolutely exhilarating! Unconsciously, their breaths became a bit rugged.

They had to calm down soon after, because Frederick and the people who were close to them were giving them weird gazes. So, they slowed their breathing.

The lecture continued and ended as quickly or as slowly, depends on the person, as it came.

Back in the dorms, the boys were all in one room, along with Frederick. Although they couldn't trust him yet, they still had the option of talking with telepathy, so they discussed other thing on the outside, while having a secret conversation on the inside.

The thing is, they weren't talking about anything important in either their mind or on the outside. Actually, they were trying to create another man of culture, the person being Frederick.

The day ended with them just joking around until they all fell asleep on the spot they were sitting in.

The next day…

Today's schedule was still very lax, probably because it was still the start of the year. But Instructor Vernal said that normal classes will start next week, with today being Friday, as well as the 11th day in this world. The first class will start 8am, it being magic theory.

There was a special classroom made for the magical theory class, mostly, because of the equipment and the structure of the class. Now, structure doesn't exactly mean with how it was made or what's on the inside. This case was a little bit different. It actually had a strong magical barrier surrounding every part of the furniture and the walls. How do they know this? Well, they actually just felt all the magic particles somehow imbued with the intent to protect. They don't really know how they felt this, they just kind of did.

With that in mind, they just sat down at a table in the corner of the classroom, it would be better to call it a hall and silently waited for the teacher.

Their curiosity was already over 9000, so it has to be satiated somehow…
