Chapter 6: The World Before 3000AD -

Next they went to have breakfast before they continued their discussion. David was eager to continue learning about the history of this new world he found himself in. After a quick breakfast, he found Yuna in the main room, already busy at her console.

"Yuna, I want to understand how the world got to this point. Can you show me what it was like before everything changed?" David asked.

"You want learn about the past!" Yuna looked at him and nodded. "Of course, David. Let's start from the beginning."

Yuna led David back to the hidden room filled with ancient technology. She activated a console, and holographic projections filled the room with scenes from Earth's past. Yuna started to explain,

"By 2400AD, humanity had made incredible strides in science," Yuna began. "Artificial intelligence, like myself, became integral to society."

The holograms showed bustling cities with advanced technologies—flying cars, towering skyscrapers, and robots assisting humans in everyday tasks.

David marveled at the sight. "It's amazing. The world looks so advanced."

Next, the holograms shifted to scenes of laboratories filled with scientists working on genetic engineering projects. Yuna explained how humanity began to alter their own DNA to gain superhuman abilities.

"Around 2600AD, genetic engineering allowed humans to enhance their physical and mental capabilities," Yuna said, showing images of humans exhibiting superhuman strength, speed, and intellect.

"So, people started having superpowers?" David asked, intrigued.

"Yes, abilities like telekinesis, enhanced strength, and accelerated healing became possible," Yuna confirmed.

The projections showed individuals using their superpowers for various purposes—heroic acts, everyday tasks, and, unfortunately, conflict. The societal impact was significant, with superpowered individuals changing the dynamics of society.

"These abilities led to significant changes in society," Yuna explained. "Some used their powers for good, while others... not so much."

"It must have been a double-edged sword," David remarked, understanding the potential for both good and harm.

The holograms transitioned to scenes of scientists discovering and developing wormhole technology. The images showed enormous machines creating portals that allowed instantaneous travel across vast distances.

"By 2800AD, humanity had perfected wormhole technology. Travel between distant galaxies became a reality," Yuna narrated.

"That means, the humans were able to spread across galaxies" David said, watching the projections of people stepping through wormholes to distant worlds. "Yes, they were." Yuna said.

The projections then depicted massive exoduses of humans leaving Earth to settle on other planets. Ships filled with people entered wormholes, seeking new homes in uninhabited and inhabited planets across different galaxies.

"Those who could afford it left Earth to explore and settle on new planets, seeking better opportunities and escaping overpopulation," Yuna explained.

"They encountered other races!? These people seems to be elves and beastmen." David asked lookingat the holograms.

"Yes, humans encountered races with magical abilities. Some alliances were formed, while others led to conflicts," Yuna said.

The holograms showed humans meeting and interacting with various powerful races such as elves, beastmen, dragons, demons, gods, and other alien races. Some scenes depicted peaceful coexistence, while others showed conflicts and battles.

"It must have been a chaotic time," David mused, imagining the complexities of such interactions.

The projections finally showed a period of relative peace and prosperity as humanity integrated with these other races across different galaxies. Advanced civilizations flourished, and trade routes spanned the stars.

"So, what happened next? How did everything fall apart?" David asked, sensing the story was about to take a darker turn.

"I'll tell you about that later, David," Yuna said gently. "For now, let's have a meal and rest a bit."

David nodded, feeling both enlightened and apprehensive about the coming revelations. David knew it couldn't be the same world he was from. He couldn't use the same logic as before. It was like a video game to him where there are so many things mixed up. He inner explorer was waking up and he would not rest until he explores every world.
