Era muy pequeña en ese entonces, era cuidada por la criada de mi padre, un día unos amigos de la familia llegaron eran buenas personas y hay fue como conocí al que sería mi amigo y también el amor de mi vida, ellos eran de estatus medio pero eran amigos de infancia de mis padres.

I was very small back then, I was taken care of by my father's maid, one day some family friends came and they were good people and that was how I met the one who would be my friend and also the love of my life, they were of average status but, they were childhood friends of my parents.

La madre de Henry la señora Alison Maxwell era una mujer muy encantadora y su esposo era alguien muy gracioso y cariñoso, mi padre los recibió con alegría.

Henry's mother Mrs. Alison Maxwell was a very lovely woman and her husband was a very gracious and caring person, my father received them with joy.

Llegaron con un niño que parecía de mi edad y dos niñas que por cierto parecían gemelas. Ellos se presentaron como amigos de mi padre, me sorprendí y era, porque a mi padre lo visitaban personas importantes. Todo empezó esa mañana yo era muy pequeña de 7 años de edad tocaron la puerta de la casa o mansión mi padre le dijo a la criada:

- Miriam ve abre la puerta y si son mis padres diles que estoy ocupado - dijo mi padre.

La criada de nombre Miriam abrió la puerta, dos señores, una mujer y un hombre con un niño de mi edad y dos niñas pequeñas, levanté mi mirada tímida y curiosa y allí lo ví ese niño de mirada tímida, sí, Henry.

- Miriam see open the door and if it's my parents tell them I'm busy - said my father.

The maid named Miriam opened the door, two gentlemen, a woman and a man with a boy my age and two little girls, I raised my shy and curious look and there I saw that boy with a shy look, yes, Henry.

El señor pregunto:

- ¿Dónde esta el amargado de Victor? (Así se llama mi padre).

-El señor no sabe si puede atenderlos le preguntare si esta a posición - dijo Miriam.

- ¿Quienes son Miriam?- se oyó la voz de mi papá desde su escritorio.

Mi padre se acercó a ver y se sorprendió y se quedo serio.

-Viejo amigo veo que siempre tiene esa cara de amargado por poco pensé que ya no te acordabas de mí - dijo el hombre.

-Y tu siempre tienes esa cara de idiota- dijo mi papá.

Los dos rieron y se abrazaron.

-Bienvenidos a mi casa- dijo mi padre.

-Pasen y siéntense cómodos -volvio a decir él.

-They are people who want to see you Sir, they say they know you - said Miriam.

My father came to see and was surprised and became serious.

The two laughed and embraced.

Ellos pasaron y se sentaron en la sala vi al niño con curiosidad me pareció ¿tierno?

Mi padre los saludo gentilmente a él y a su esposa.

-Miriam dile a Ricardo que prepare algo para nuestros visitantes.

-No Victor no es necesario - dijo el hombre -Eres mi amigo y debo tratarte bien -dijo mi papá.

Mi papá me presento ante ellos dijo que dijera mi nombre y yo con mucha timidez respondí.

-Mi nombre es Elizabeth -dije.

-Que tierna yo me llamó Alison Maxwell - me dijo la encantadora mujer - Y ellas dos son mis hijas Mary y Lucía.

My father graciously greeted him and his wife.

-Miriam tell ricardo to prepare something for our visitors.

Las niñas me parecieron muy tiernas.

Alison siguió hablando -Este es mi hijo ven cariño preséntate.

El niño tenía la mirada agachada era algo ¿lindo?

- Mi nombre es...Henry-dijo.

- Tú eres la hija de mi amargado amigo eres demasiado parecida a tu madre por cierto me llamo Kelvin Maxwell- me dijo el hombre- Que bueno que conociste a mi hijo harían linda pareja.

The girls seemed very tender to me.

Cuando dijo eso mi padre tenía una de pocos amigos y dijo:

-Ni lo sueñes Kelvin mi hija no sera pareja de este mocoso.

-Que amargado no se que te vió Rose.

Al escuchar el nombre de mi madre mi padre se puso tenso y triste o melancólico.

-Lo siento no debí mencionarla no era mi intención - dijo el señor Kelvin

El ambiente se puso tenso y yo no tenía ni idea de que rayos hablaban sabía que de mi madre pero pareja eso se come?.

When he said that my father had one of a few friends and said:

- You can't even dream of it, Kelvin, my daughter won't be this kid's partner.

- Bitter, I don't know he saw you Rose."

Para aliviar en ambiente que se hizo la señora Alison dijo:

-Henry ¿podrías ir a jugar con Eli?

Él asintió con la cabeza y lo llevé al patio mientras los adultos conversaban.

Había un patio a la parte trasera de la mansión también había un árbol grande los dos empezamos una conversación, parecía que nuestra timidez había desaparecido.

-¿Cuanto años tienes? - me pregunto en ese entonces Henry.

- Tengo 7 años - le conteste.

- ¿Enserio?- me dijo el con una sonrisa burlona.

- Si soy tan bajita como crees entonces te propongo un recto si yo subo mas alto en este árbol que tú entonces, debes retractarte de lo dicho - dije desafiante.

- Y si yo ganó entonces te puedo decir duende y harás lo que te diga - dijo Henry.

- Sí -dije.

-Entonces aceptó - dijo él.

I get angry is he calling me dwarf....

Nos dimos un apretón de manos en señal de cerrar un trato. Empezamos nuestro recto yo empecé a subir con rapidez el árbol, yo era muy buena trepando arboles me gusta estar en lugares elevados, él trepaba en un paso lento y yo seguía alcanzando las ramas y escalando más rápido que él.

We shook hands to sign a deal. We started our straight I started to climb quickly the tree, I was very good climbing trees I like to be in high places, he climbed at a slow pace and I kept reaching the branches and climbing faster than him.

Cuando estaba sola y no había nadie vigilandome subía o me trepaba al árbol pero si esta mi papá o la criada o mi niñera no me dejaban subirme ya que era peligroso pero a mi me gustaba mucho escalar árboles.

-No me ganarás -dijo el niño intentando escalar a mí ritmo.

Yo iba a a la delantera hasta que me subí a la última rama le había ganado.

- Eres muy rápida no puedo creer que me hayas ganado. - dijo él sorprendido.

Yo le sonreí victoriosa y dije :

-Ahora serás mi esclavo y no me dirás enanita.

-Entonces te propongo otro tracto si me alcanzas mientras corro el tracto tendrá validez, pero si no me alcanzas entonces haras lo que yo diga y te llamare como yo quiera.- me dijo él.

Me enoje quien se creía que era.

-Esta bien aceptó te voy atrapar idiota -dije yo.

When, I was alone and there was no one watching me I climbed or climbed the tree but if my dad or the maid or my nanny was there they wouldn't let me climb because it was dangerous but I really liked climbing trees.

Entonces, empezamos a descender del árbol si mi padre me hubiese visto trataría de hacerme bajar por todos los medios posibles. Bajamos y ya íbamos llevar a cabo nuestro recto.

Cuando la mamá de Henry dijo: -Hijo tenemos que irnos despídete de Eli.

Él se despidió con una sonrisa burlona en su cara y yo me despedí de él con un poco de enfado.

-Cuando seas grande lo sabras - dijo.
