The Huang Family’s Real Heiress

When the woman was done saying the name of the place and address, she walked away with a disgusted look in her eyes.

She was already thinking that Shu Xin came there to suck up to an old sleazy man for favors.

Shu Xin couldn't be bothered with what was on the woman's mind and started to type her reply to Secretary Zhang.

After sending the message to Secretary Zhang, Shu Xin decided to wait for him in the lobby.

She sat on one of the couches on the other side of the lobby, where a group of people was also waiting. Some of them held their coffee cups in hand while others were just relaxing while looking down at their phones as they waited for the hotel staff to get their things ready.

She looked out of place from the expensive and branded clothes that everyone she saw was wearing. Even the hotel staff looked better than what she was wearing. Compared to them, her oversized white shirt and two-year-old shoes that were already out of the fashion trend, she looked like she was there to beg someone for money.

She looked so ordinary that she could even feel it by the stares that she was getting. But as much as the several pair of eyes watched her, Shu Xin decided not to care about them.

This was Shu Xin's first time in City A.

She just found out that the Huang family's grand old master named her, a complete stranger, as his next successor in his will, a shocking news that absolutely brought chaos to the Huang family. They contacted her first and if not because of the Old Master Huang's words, she wouldn't have come to this place no matter what.

Outside the entrance, a black car stopped in front. A middle-aged man was impatiently pressing his fingers on the screen of his phone.

When Secretary Zhang got the message from Shu Xin that she was inside The Jade Crown hotel, he almost got into an accident.

What was she doing in The Jade Crown Hotel? Was she out of her mind? Secretary Zhang was close to losing his mind.

Sending another message to Shu Xin, Secretary Zhang made his way to the lobby. His eyes were squinting to look for a lady that looked closest to the recent photos that Shu Xin sent to the Huang family.

It took him a minute before he could spot her from the crowd. He quickly approached her and made sure not to offend anyone inside the lobby as he walked past them.

On the other hand, Shu Xin was playing on her phone. It was a complicated game as no one has ever conquered it, but Shu Xin was already ninety percent away from completing it.

And just when she was almost done conquering the game, she saw a pair of shoes in her line of sight.

Using the shoes to guide her eyes upward, Shu Xin indifferently looked up to see an older man standing in front of her. He held his phone in one hand and was looking at her indignantly.

"You're here so fast." She sounded lazy as she told him. Though her eyes were looking at him, her fingers danced atop the phone screen, and before long, a word 'Victory' flashed on her phone screen.

"Miss Shu. Please come with me now." Secretary Zhang didn't like her tone and attitude towards him.

Just because the Old Master Huang turned her into a heiress and this brat must be thinking that she was some big shot! Hmph! Secretary Zhang indignantly thought to himself. He clearly disliked this new heiress he had to serve.

Shu Xin didn't bother with him. She stood up from where she sat, dusting off the imaginary dust on her lap and put her phone inside her pocket before following the secretary.

When they arrived in front of the parked car, Secretary Zhang looked around her before asking, "Where are your things? Did you forget to bring them with you?"

Shu Xin shook her and said, "I didn't bring anything."

It was the truth. She came to that country without a suitcase to keep her clothes and only brought herself and a handful of things that she could carry in her person right now.

Everything that she needed was inside her black backpack anyway, so she doesn't need to bring everything from her previous house.

Secretary Zhang looked at her disapprovingly and clicked his tongue. Shu Xin ignored how he looked at her disdainfully and got inside the backseat without a word.

But as soon as she disappeared from his sight, Secretary Zhang's disdainful look changed into something that looked like he was taken by surprise.

He turned his head and looked at where she sat in the car and frowned.
