Chapter-6: The nightmare starts again!

My mind was in turmoil. Negative thoughts started to loom in my head, thoughts like 'What if I make a mistake? What if I lose everyone again? What if....'

Suddenly I punched myself across my face. "Shut up you fucker! Get your mind out of the gutter and think straight or you'll lose everyone again." I said to myself.

That punch pulled me back and I started to get down to the living room. Suddenly I heard a blood-curdling scream from outside. 'So, it already started!?' I thought to myself.

I got to the living room, greeted by my family's fearstrikken expression. They were right to be terrified because what they're experiencing right now can only be described as a scene from a horror movie.

There were blood wrenching screams from outside along with sound of meat getting slashed and bones getting crunched.

And this was supposed to be the beginning.....You can expect that reaction coming from a normal civilian.

I got close to them and said "Dad, Mom, Sato*1, we have to leave." in a hurried tone.

We were tight one time, monsters were coming and only I can fight here. If we wait anymore, they won't survive.

My Dad said furiously "Nobita, what are you saying? Are you out of your mind? Can't you hear what is going outside?" and started to pant heavily, to which Mom supported him.

He stared at me furiously, to which didn't react much. Afterall, it's a given anyone will react the same in this kind of situation.

I said solemnly "I know what's going on outside, that's why we have to leave because if we don't....all of us will die...." said I in a grim tone.

I know this situation better than anyone present here because I lived through this hell and died in it...

I continued "That's why, we'll leave. I swear I can save every single one of us if you all do as I say! Or...we'll die either way!"

"Please believe me! I know what I'm doing." I said with a bit of urgency as the sound were getting closer.

I said in hurry "Dad if you have any kind of weapons like swords or Daos in home then take it. Even baseball bat will do."

I continued "Fast! We don't have much time."

Dad hurriedly got a dao which was used for clearing the backyard. I quickly got my [Eternal Slumber] out and used status ability on it

As my blood fell in it, it started to shake violently for a moment and suddenly stopped.

'Bleeding and Concealment, huh? The effects are pretty good. And it has more skills to be unlocked. I don't see the "broken skill" though!? Maybe it's not unlocked yet. The concealment can't be used for long time but can become a lifesaver. I will always save it as a last resort.'

I thought to myself.

Dad came to me and hurriedly asked "I got the weapon. Now, what to do?" to which I replied "We get out, I will lead the way and we'll avoid fighting."

Dad asked in a questioning gaze "Fighting what?" I replied "You'll know!" in a grim tone.

We hurriedly got out of house. The place I spent my childhood in. It's about time I say goodbye to it again.

I started to guide them to a place which was the safest in current time but we came across something. A green coloured, humanoid looking creature, about 1.5 meters tall. A Goblin!

Although they were weak, they came in herd. I hurriedly got closer to it and finished it off with the [Endless Slumber], without giving my family or the monster time to process.

My family was so dumbstruck, they didn't get the time to scream. Thankfully, they didn't or else we would've been up for a 'party' with those green coloured sh**s.

was the message I got. Everything I do can be considered a skill from the system's perspective. The prerequisites is to get a little bit proficient in it.

I looked around for any other goblins, but there wasn't any other. Looks like this one got lost from it's group.

Well, I think my luck is quite good or... this one's was bad.

I told my parents to quickly follow behind. With dumb looks on their faces, they started running.

We got in front of a convenience store close to my house. Now, many will say why did I even get here. With monsters running around everywhere, this place can be my grave with those fragile glasses on the front.

But....you are wrong here, because my friend. This .Is. A. Safe. Zone.

Yeah, this fragile looking store is a "safe-zone". Now! What is a safe-zone? The answer is simple. As the name suggests it is a zone where you can protect yourself from monsters. Monsters can't get inside the invisible boundary.

Without further ado, we got inside. [Ding! The maximum capacity has been reached! No more humans shall enter or the barrier will turn off] an automated voice said.

Yeah! This safe-zone has a capacity. Now! As i said before monsters can't enter here but that doesn't include one type of "Monster". Yeah! Humans.

Safe-zone are meant to be a battlefield for humans for 'those' bast***s to enjoy.

As the voice said, any more humans and the barrier protecting us from monsters will turn off. But there is quite a problem. As I remember, the capacity should be five people and we are four.

This place is where I hid in my past life. I didn't know at that time that it was a safe-zone, just hid here because I was too afraid to go out. I stayed for a week. Thankfully this was a convenience store and there were supplies here. After a week, the millitary 'rescued' me.

According to that memory there shouldn't be anyone here. "What are we doing here Nobita? And what was that sound" Dad asked. I hushed him whispering to him 'Shhh! Stay quiet!'

I quickly equipped [Endless Slumber] and went inside with silent steps.I don't want any dangers here. I saw a shadow in the corner of a shelf and went close to it.

Suddenly something got thrown a me and I heared a voice "STAY AWAY! D-d-don't come near me!" It was a girl! She had a kitchen knife in her hand which looked quite new. Maybe got it from the shelf!

I got near her. "Put that weapon away. You think you can even scratch me with that? Woman!" I said and continue

"Listen, I'm also here for shelter. So, you don't disturb me and I don't disturb you. Got it?"

Before she said anything I said again "Whatever. Scratch that. Do whatever you want but don't you dare bother me or it won't be pretty."

Suddenly I got a slap on my back and heard a voice "Nobita, is that the way of talking to someone. Huh? I never taught you that." Mom said.

"It's okay little girl, you're safe here." Mom said to the girl.

I thought inside 'Really? You think so? we can't even ensure own safety but you're ensuring her?'

I picked up bottle of water from the shelf and gave it to mom. I said to Mom "Give it to her and try talking to her. She might be too scared to down her guard." in a whispering tone so the girl can't hear

And I went to a corner. I sat in Lotus position and and thought to myself 'time to start!'.
