2 The Case Files

The involvement of Abhinav Malhotra in this case gave a light of hope to the people that now their children will be safe and those who have already lost their beloved ones gained some confidence that their children will be back.

Abhinav is a man of 28 with a slim but strong figure. He has a thin white face with thick black hairs. The white face, thick black hairs and a strong body accompanied by a bold and carefree attitude to make him a complete package any girl wants to fall for.

Besides these he also has an unbelievable observing power which makes him the most unique in a crowd. In the name of a family he has nothing. His parents left him at his young age. They have also left with him considerable bank balance so in one word this family less detective has nothing to care for which makes him more dedicated to his work.

Abhinav liked to organise and plan his actions before execute them. Firstly he took out all the missing report and files to read them and to make the things clear for him.

At the first was Akash Saxena, 14. He is a resident of Green Valley Complex of Beleghata. According to the report he was last seen by his family on 10th of April 2018 when he took departure from his house for the school. It was mentioned by his parents that he used to return alone from the School since childhood and was also enough smart to not to lose his way.

Abhinav couldn't make out head or tail from this information because apart from this there was not much to think about in the interrogations and investigations.

Following that, there was Mayank Verma, 15. He lived at Sunshine apartments in Chinar Park. His family claims that on 11th of April, 2018 they have seen him for the last time. He always used to go to the park in the evening to play and similarly that day also he went out but never returned to his home. His mother suspects her brother-in-law to have kidnapped him but the police have found out every corner and point of his uncle's life but never found anything about the boy. Although he has a motive for kidnapping because his relationship is not at all good with Mayank's father at the time of this incident due to financial matters but he also claimed that he is not so cruel to kill a child for money. In fact he was the one who took regular information from the police that if his nephew is found or not.

Abhinav also thought for a while about this but then he also realised that he may have a motive but there are low chances of his crime because if anything happens all fingers would be pointed ar him only and he will only be the prime suspect.

After that came Anushka Mitra, 15 from Gariahat who went missing on 12th April at the night when she went to buy some grocery from a shop. There was nothing interesting in this report as it was also like the previous ones.

Till now there were three more cases of 2018. After opening the next case only something got Abhinav's attention on that page. All the previous cases he have seen occurred during the month of April but this report he was reading was of 10th July. He couldn't figure out why all of a sudden, two months were spared and again the missing spree started from July and as he expected the other two cases were also of 11th and 12th of July.

Earlier Abhinav was pretty sure that a child trafficking racket was going on but why would they spare two months time interval between that and moreover this is the time of September when again the missing spree has started in 2019. Yes after more than a year, again the missing spree have started and in the same pattern everything was followed.

Again 10, 11 and 12 and yet again three children, two boys and one girl but the difference was only that this time it was Vinay Bajaj, Pratik Sen and Shradha Rai. Hence these were the missing cases of 2018.

The detective couldn't figure out more about the cases but pulled out the two files of 2019 and was completely immersed to see another time to of the same Its 10th and 11th when Armaan Sharma and Sarjana Chauhan never returned their home from the school.

Abhi took no time to figure out that the pattern is nothing different and according to it another little one was soon going to disappear on the particular day. As he was about to call the higher officials and inform about it ,the phone rang itself and the words from the other side forced his right hand to throw the pen he was holding on the ground. Abhinav was completely at a state of shock to hear again, another and possibly the missing of the last child Dinesh Bagchi.

The whole Bengal and especially Kolkata started to lose their hope on the Civil security and protection.

On the other side, the calm and cool detective was also somehow at a state of shock when he couldn't figure out what to do and how to do.

As these all Roller-coaster thoughts were popping in his head suddenly a message came to his phone. Abhi was not in a mood to check his phone at that moment but after few seconds only when he picked it up only notice the words "Meet me at Park Street cemetery" in it and before noticing the name of the sender the screen went black.

And now the main question is who the hell wanted to meet Abhi at "The Cemetery"?

To be continued....
