The execution of a noble

A crowd had gathered in front of the King's castle, today the masses were excited to see a man with noble blood executed. It was a very rare occurrence that very few could remember happening. Most times when a noble committed a crime of any sort it was forgotten and swept under the rug.

The man in question was none other than the former Duke, Caleb Quintas. In the last month, rumors had spread that he had assisted in killing the son of another noble house in a direct act to weaken the king. Those physically near the Quintas estate could verify that they no longer were the ruling family and that they had been evicted and replaced, details were shrouded in mystery.

Those under the new Duke's rule were less than happy as the changes that were immediately made directly affected them. Taxes had increased as well as the amount of labor they were required to do. Such was the way of being under others' rule.
