CHAPTER 97 Apology

  Edsel's POV

Pacing through the woods with my heart racing, I felt like a bundle of nerves. I'd just finished the task Aurora had given me, and now, all I can think about is Julian's safety. That argument a few days ago was weighing on me like a ton of bricks, and I can't help but think if I hadn't said those awful things, none of this would've happened. Julian is missing and in the hands of witches, it could not be worse.

"Getting worried now, huh? I thought you didn't even like our mate."

"Shut it! It's your fault for not sensing it before. Now focus and sense properly!"

I'm the best bet for finding Julian, considering how well witches hide their tracks. Without a clue where they've kept Julian, I'm relying on the fated mate connection to guide me.

Holding my breath, I try to calm my nerves and tune into the subtle energies around me.
