  I was jerked awake by the chatter of Aurora and Edward, those two workaholics. Just before hitting the hay, I checked my phone, it was already 2 AM. For a guy who usually had a regular and healthy routine, this was pushing it.

  Monitoring the security footage was as dull as dishwater, practically hypnotic. Before I knew it, I'd crashed out on the desk.

  I cracked an eye open as they were gabbing away about the case and just laid there quietly listening until a woman's figure popped up on the screen. I couldn't help but blurt out, "Julian San?!"

  "When did you wake up? You scared the crap out of me," Aurora exclaimed, equally startled. I frowned, not bothering with niceties.

  "What's the deal here? All this is connected to Julian?"
