Mu Lin and Jing Chen glanced at each other, the curve of their smiles strikingly similar. "It seems that some people can't wait any longer."
"I guess it's because you struck a bit too hard earlier," Jing Chen quipped. Despite the threat to their lives lurking in the shadows, the two of them appeared completely relaxed.
"It was your doing, wasn't it?" Mu Lin feigned innocence. After all, it was not her who had leveled the enemy base; she wouldn't wear that hat, Jing Chen.
Jing Chen laughed warmly, reaching out to gently touch Mu Lin's head. "Alright then, whatever my wife says is correct." As the saying goes, one should always listen to their wife.
It seemed that Mister Jing had thoroughly learnt his lessons about male subordination to their wives.
"Good boy." Standing on tiptoes, Mu Lin planted a kiss on his chin, and Jing Chen smiled with satisfaction.
