The battle of strength

Tamara POV.

"Jonas, please let me go and stop doing this," I pleaded, my voice breaking as I stammered. Even though I've only known Jonas for a few hours, I've already grown accustomed to him.

He is the type of guy who the demands of others will not sway.

After all, it was said and done. Jonas whispered to me, "Fine, you win for now, but don't let your guard down because if I get the slightest opportunity to make you mine, your pleading will be for nothing." He then walked away, leaving me alone.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to give you a second chance," I said emphatically in response.

All I have to do now is avoid him and do so. I must become friendly with the man who lives next door.

"Hmm, that would be a problem because I will be taking you to the market tomorrow, which means I will have a chance," Jonas responded, a smirk on his face.

"I'll ask someone else to accompany me!" I reasoned, but Jonas did not respond, so I grabbed the doorknob and hurriedly walked out of my room.

Unless I flee, Jonas will swallow me whole. His presence is too overwhelming for me to resist. That is why I need to exercise caution.

After making my way into the backyard, I had a good view of the rest of the Hales' residence.

Old photo hangers can be found in the hallway. "Wow, are they the ancestors of Hale?" I exclaim as I carefully examine each portrait one by one.

"No, they were the Alphas of the Phantom pack."

When I turned around, there was Alfonzo with my mother.

"Then why is it hanging in your house?" I inquire, a smile on my face.

When Uncle Alfonzo responded, he pointed to the portrait of his great-grandfather in the upper center of the wall. He said, "This house belonged to my great-grandfather-the first Alpha of the Phantom pack."

While looking at the portrait, I was taken aback by the person depicted. He has a similar appearance to Jonas. The only thing that distinguishes them is their hair. I turned to face Uncle Alfonzo, intending to share my thoughts with him, but he spoke before me.

"Yes, he does indeed look like Jonas, which is a far cry from my appearance," Uncle Alfonzo observed, scratching his chin.

"Enough, you two; let's go in the backyard; Elija's been waiting for so long," my mother interrupted as she drew Uncle Alfonzo away from us.

"Mom, are you going to watch my fight?" I asked, raising an eyebrow in disbelief. Lolita Morningstar prefers a calm environment, so she was never in the presence of action.

I notice my mother widening her eyes as we walk side by side. "Why don't you like it when I'm rooting for you?" she asks.

As my mother points out, "you are interested in seeing if the members of this pack are stronger than me, aren't you? And perhaps you are hoping that I lose to Elija?" I raise an eyebrow in agreement with my mother.

My mother responded, "Do you think praying to lose a crime? Tamara's strength has become a hindrance to the happiness she's been waiting for." my mother explained and avoided my gaze.

"Ha Ha Ha, you mother and daughter are too cute," uncle Alfonzo exclaimed as he opened the back door to the house.

"Wow, this is a lot bigger than I expected!" I exclaimed as I took in the expansive space.

"At long last, you've arrived. I had assumed you had changed your mind and decided to withdraw," Elija says as soon as he sees me.

"Geez, Elija, you are just so excited to bring down this beautiful lady," Joey remarked, taking a seat in the corner next to my mother and uncle Alfonzo.

"I sincerely apologize to keep you from waiting," I said as I made my way to the center. Because the soil is sandy, it was ideal for combat.

"Uncle Alfonzo, are we going to use the code from the Phantom Pack?" Elijah asks, looking around at the group of people who are now drinking beer.

The moment Jonas walked through the door, he said, "Yes, use the code from the Phantom Pack." His earlier demeanor is completely erased, and the man in front of me now is the true Alpha of the Phantom pack. It's a little frightening and intimidating.

Uncle Alfonzo's intervention and concern were visible on his face. "Wow, son. I know Tamara's been questioning your strength but is it too much to use your code?"

"Wait! Please explain to me this code so that I can make an informed decision on my own," I say, looking directly into Jonas's eyes as I speak.

"It means that no one will stop until you lose consciousness," Jonas explained to me, a smirk on his face as he answered.

"Alternatively, you can give up and acknowledge your failure," Elija continued, explaining.

"Oh, is that correct? All right, I agree," I said without a moment's hesitation. There is no need to be concerned because it is not a life-or-death situation, and I am confident in my abilities.

Then Jonas walked over to the table where everyone was seated and said, "Elija, you can use seventy percent of your strength in this fight," before walking away.

While maintaining control over my rage, I exclaimed, "Did he just tell you to use only seventy percent of your strength?! Your Alpha thinks I'm weak?"

He is not. My Alpha is aware of your strength, which is why he permitted me to use more than half of my strength. Perhaps you are unaware of what the Phantom Pack is, "Elija murmured as he prepared to go into battle.

As a response, I dash to attack Elija with my fist followed by kicks, but to my surprise, he deflected all of my attacks with relative ease.

When Elija grabs my hand, he says, "Nice move, now see mine!"

I didn't have time to react when Elijah lifted me and dropped me to the ground, but he didn't let go of my hand as his foot stepped on my neck.

"Now, admit defeat!" Elija's command firmly pressed his foot against the ground.

Meanwhile, Jonas and the group in charge of keeping an eye on the situation made some comments.

"Is that it? I thought Tamara was a strong woman?" Joey exclaimed, a look of disappointment on his face as he said this.

"If Tamara had fought you, she might have had a chance, but Elija? That guy is a monster in comparison to Jonas!" Vic exclaimed, a chuckle in his voice.

"I don't think so. I'm confident in my abilities, and a girl will never be able to defeat me!" Joey exclaimed.
