"Your reason for rejecting me is because I'm strong?" I asked incredulously. "I want a mate who needs my protection. But with you? I'm worthless!" "Very well, I, Tamara Morningstar, accept the rejection of David Halter to be his mate," I said without emotion. Although deep in my heart, I feel the pain because he is the man of my dream David didn't seem to like my calmness, so he didn't stop, " Everyone in the pack hated you, Tamara! No one wants you to be their mate!" He exclaimed reason for everyone on the site to look at us. "Enough! It's not my fault I am strong, and you are weak! This is who I am, and I am proud of myself! Anyway, thank you for rejecting me because I don't need a weakling mate like you!" Because of my anger, I lost control and didn't care if everyone heard us. And that led me to leave my pack and go to the strongest on…The Phantom pack!
Tamara POV.
Even though I only slept for two hours, I was up bright and early the following day. But I couldn't get out of bed right away since the events of the previous night had re-entered my consciousness.
"Tamara, what do you have in mind? Do you want to ask Jonas a question in front of everyone, or do you want to speak with him privately?" I asked myself this question while I gasped for air.
I got up and went to the bathroom in my sluggish manner. Since I had yet to decide, I simply opted to soak in the bathtub, to begin with.
"Can you tell me what's wrong with you?" I summoned my wolf, but there was still no response, so I became stressed once more.
I was distracted by the bubbles and failed to notice it was already noon. And, to make matters worse, I didn't hear the knock on my door. Consequently, I was taken aback when the bathroom door opened, and Jonas appeared looking clean and pleasant in his plain t-shirt and jeans.
"Do you intend on going out? Perhaps you were unaware that your mother had pleaded with me to accompany you." Jonas grimaced and leaned against the door as if my presence were appropriate.
"Jonas! You insane person! Get out of here!" I screamed and flung the soap I was carrying at him, which he caught. I was irritated that he was able to evade my soap.
"Tamara, I had already seen you naked last night, so what else do you have to be embarrassed about? Remember that I even carried you?" Jonas makes a statement that causes me to flush.
"Jonas, get out of here! If you don't come out, I'll report you to your father!" I threaten Jonas, but it appears that he is not intimidated by his father. So I just tried to reach for the bathrobe that was hanging nearby while trying to keep my tears from pouring down my face.
Jonas appeared to be remorseful. He approached the bathrobe and handed it to me at the same time, saying, "Hurry up, I have a lot more to accomplish," before turning away.
When the door closed, I felt relieved. "How did Jonas get into my room in such a sneaky manner? Doesn't he realize that I'm a woman?" I mumble under my breath as I hastily rinse.
With the possibility of Jonas returning in mind, I raced to put on my clothing.
Because I usually only wear a T-shirt and shorts, getting dressed doesn't take long. I was out of my room in only a few minutes.
I was on my way when I noticed Elija heading down the stairwell, so I accelerated my pace to catch up with him.
"Hey, do you mind if I speak with you for a second?" As soon as he glances at me, I say.
"If you're wondering about last night, don't worry, it's not a huge problem," Elija said, leaving me stunned.
While still ashamed of what happened, I added, "Actually, I don't recall what happened, but my mother discussed it with me." I was embarrassed by the situation.
"Apologies accepted, so stop feeling sorry, and I was not hurt. To express your regrets, you should speak with Jonas, who saves your life by preventing you from killing him, but in the process, suffers an injury. "Elija made a comment that caused me to stop walking.
"That is the source of my difficulty... What is the best way to communicate with Jonas? If he always finds a way to irritate me when we meet?" I snorted and huffed as I talked to myself.
----
"Can you tell me where my mother is?" I asked when I caught up with Joey in the kitchen.
"Aunt Lolita, go out with Uncle Alfonzo. Anyway, how are you doing? You frightened us last night, "Joey commented, making me feel embarrassed.
"I'm sure I scared the heck out of you guys," I say, giving Joey a half-smile.
"Hmm, not really, since we're used to Jonas," Joey responds as he rises to put the dishes in the sink. "Speaking of the devil, he's been waiting for you for more than an hour now," he continued.
"Huh? Where is he?" I inquired apprehensively.
"Jonas? He's standing outside. "Joey laughed as he responded.
I ignored Joey's mocking and dashed out the door to see Jonas, who was clearly angry at being kept waiting.
"Jonas, I'm sorry-" When I saw Jonas leaning against the car and kissing a woman, I couldn't continue my sentence.
"(This lunatic! In broad daylight on a busy street, how could he possibly kiss someone so quickly?!) Looking at the two, I muttered fiercely.
"Jonas, are you sure you're not going to accompany me?"
I overheard the female seductively whispering to Jonas, which made him chuckle.
"Hey! I thought we were going somewhere?!" I holler to Jonas to let him know that I have already arrived.
"Oh, hello there! So your the sister to be! Hello, my name is Liza, and I'm a friend of your brother Jonas!"
When Liza came over to me and hugged me, I tried not to raise my brow.
"Hi Liza, it was great to meet you," I managed a grin as I slipped out of Liza's tight grip.
"If your ready, come on, and let's go," Jonas said and rode his motorbike.
"You're so obnoxious! Anyway, it was a pleasure to meet you, and I hope we can become friends, "Liza mutters and rushes over to Jonas.
I merely shook my head while waiting for Liza to walk away from Jonas.
"What exactly are you waiting for? Hop in!" Jonas replied as he handed me the helmet.
"I thought we were going shopping? What can we do-" Because of Jonas' gaze, I didn't finish my question and instead rode on his back.
-----
There are many cars on the route; therefore, Jonas may have considered riding a motorcycle due to the traffic.
And I'm not bored either because I saw the beauty of Phantom Town far away from our previous home.
"Hey, how about last night...
Thank you for bringing me back," I say when the motorbike stop for the red lights.
Jonas turned to me, "Hmm, about last night, I heard to aunt Lolita that you don't remember anything. Are you certain, or are you simply embarrassed?" I frowned as he asked.
"I'm not embarrassed. I just don't recall," I say emphatically, meeting Jonas' gaze.
"Then you asked your wolf, and she can tell you everything that happened last night. Because if I'm the one to say to you, I'm sure you won't believe me, "Jonas says.
I was about to ask more questions when the vehicle behind us sounded its horn, prompting Jonas to start the motorcycle.
"Asked my wolf? I've already done that, but she's been ignoring me as if I've done something terrible "While signing, I mumbled.
"Try calling the other one..."
When I heard what Jonas had said, I couldn't help but frown.
