"It's a surprise!" She replied excitedly and before he could say anything he was being dragged away by her with her smiling and walking at a fast pace while he relished the feeling of her touch.

They had walked for a while before they stopped in front of an ice cream shop, she looked so excited to be there but he noticed something strange in her eyes but he immediately brushed it off, and she dragged him into the store.

He didn't realize he had been smiling like an idiot throughout though. It was a public area so he was mildly worried about people noticing him, but he expected Aiguo to take care of that and didn't want to ruin it for her because it seemed like this place was special to her. They sat down and she wore a smile that didn't leave her face at all and it made his heart race.

"Which ice cream would you like?" She asked bringing him out of his train of thought, now that he thought about it in his five hundred years of existence he had never had ice cream. How ironic, just goes to show there are still some things in life he hadn't experienced, but at least he'd experience with her.

"Whatever you want", he said calmly giving her a small smile she immediately walked towards the counter and he gathered his thoughts and decided to answer her questions as truthfully as possible or at least take the chance to tease her. She came back with two ice cream cups with the ice cream shop's logo decently designed on them.

"I decided we should try out a new flavor, Mint chocolate", she said excitedly and gave Lui Feng his but when she tasted it her face scrunched, this wasn't as good as vanilla flavor.

She frowned, but Lui Feng seemed like he was enjoying his so she continued eating hers not planning to remove the smile on his face but then she remembered the reason they were here and she stopped eating causing him to stop with her.

"You said you'd answer my questions", she said reminding him of the deal he made with her.

"You haven't asked any questions", he replied with a frown on his face though he sounded nonchalant.

"Why'd you announce your engagement to me?" She asked her gaze not leaving him and he smirked, his remorse from this morning seemed to have vanished into thin air.

"Well, it was supposed to be Meili but... I have no interest in her so I chose to announce you as my soon-to-be bride", he replied teasing her and it was working as her face had already turned red.

"Besides didn't you promise to take care of me and repay me", he said with an endearing gaze and her eyes shifted from his, he was doing it again!

"You little devil", she said knowing she had no choice. She had promised and couldn't wipe that beautiful smirk on his face and the mischievous glint in his eyes.

Most times she just got lost by staring at him, he had become someone very important to her and she wouldn't hesitate to help him, I mean the worse that could happen was her getting married to him but that didn't sound bad at all.

"Sh*t", she cursed under her breath. "Fine", she said loud enough for her to her him just making his smirk spread across his face he knew he had won right from the start, he continued eating his ice cream silently but his eyes told everything.

"Eat", he said in an authoritative tone and she frowned.

"I don't like it Vanilla is better", she said in a childish voice with a pout and she immediately called one of the workers to get them two vanilla ice cream cups her eyes gleamed with excitement and he decided to try it since she looked like so cute waiting for her ice cream to get here.

If only she'd look at him as she did at ice cream he suddenly glared at the ice cream on the table. No, he wanted more than that. Within two minutes the worker came back with the ice cream and she waited for him to try it not noticing the mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Feed me", he said acting like a kid, and pointed at his mouth when she froze at his question, seems both wanted to get on each other's nerves today.

She smirked and took a whole spoonful and shoved it in his mouth making sure to get some on the sides of his mouth, she giggled at the sight and he licked it off causing her to freeze and she gulped, he chuckled at the sight of her, the ice cream wasn't as good as the mint chocolate but anything she fed to him he'd gladly have all of it.

She suddenly licked her lips which had suddenly turned dry and continued eating the vanilla ice cream not noticing his fierce gaze on her and how his eyes darkened, this girl was inviting trouble and he'd gladly give her all of it.

He suddenly stood up and cornered her on the chair with one hand on the table and the other on her chair.

"W- what are you doing", she said almost as a squeak.

"Don't worry I won't bite", he said in a teasing manner and his face moved closer to her neck and kissed her neck slowly, sucking on it causing a light red mark to form eliciting a gasp from her and causing her face to turn red embarrassedly and she gently pushed him away but he smirked and went back to his seat, she was engaged to him so why not start acting like it.

"Little devil", she muttered her face still red unaware he could hear her every whisper.

After a while, they left and he paid the bill, he was going to enjoy her acting as his fiancée, he finally had an excuse to get closer to her, she rarely ever let her guard down.

He just had so many reasons to smile today, she might have been reincarnated but much hadn't changed about her, she still reacted to his touch, 200 years was a long time to wait but he would give her all the time she needed.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow at five", he said after dropping her off she walked in flustered, and breathed a sigh of relief, control was always slipping from her around him.

Tomorrow she had to get back to work, things were already coming together but she could hurry and finish at five, she was lost in thoughts she didn't notice her best friend staring at her as if she had seen a ghost.

"W- what's on your neck?" she said though she clearly knew, she wanted to smack Lui Feng right now she just pursed her lips and gave Ying an explain now look.

Ying Yue nervously explained everything to her best friend, Yu Yan wanted to warn her but she knew the strong bond they both shared in such a short time, her friend always had the habit of getting herself in trouble even from day one. She reminisced about the past.

"What are you doing? You're going to get hurt" said little Yu Yan but the girl climbing the tree had no intention of stopping.

The girl was planning to go get the kite that had been stuck there. It was a handmade kite that little Yu Yan and her mother had made together, so she didn't want to lose it but seeing the girl not caring if she'd get hurt trying to get it made her worry.

After a while, she handed the kite the Yu Yan and started moving slowly trying to get down. Then out of nowhere the girl's mother started approaching with a dolled-up girl walking next to her with an evil smirk on her face. She tried to get down faster and in the process she sprained her ankle causing her to wince in pain but the moment the woman came closer she didn't dare make a sound.

"Ying Yue, how dare you go around climbing trees, you're the daughter of a noble family and now you're hurt. Well, you're just going to have to walk on it as a punishment", said the woman wearing what looked like a hundred layers of makeup and the girl slowly nodded, waved at her, and left.

'Ying Yue...' the name echoed in her mind and she looked at the kite in her hand.

The girls didn't meet until a couple of years later when Yu Yan's father got custody and started taking care of her. Since then they had been best friends with Yu Yan protecting Ying Yue, and Ying Yue making sure Yu Yan enjoyed the fun side of life. They always made sure to support each other all the way till date.
