Finally

Days past by, it seems. The night and day cycle repeated several times. My whole body ached and felt broken for the duration. Alice arms wrapped around me and dragged me on her soft shoulders as I commanded her to follow the darkened arrow-shaped guide. It held out this long, I was impressed by how exceptionally powerful it was considering light spells mostly last for a few hours.

« Master, I can't do this anymore, I'm so tired »

Alice wearily said while trying to stretch her wings.

« Well, I can't help, my body is still recovering from the fight a while back, endure it,» I said as I nearly sneezed from the talons of Alice's wing.

The paths began to look a little strange and different than the others, with dirt coming out of crevices and various plants growing out of rocks also it seemed to look a lot brighter than when we have started. Seems there is a closer light source.

It hit me. If there are plants growing that must mean the sunlight must be in range and also the dirt, far underground there would not be any soil but, since there is we must be near the surface. Urging hope lingered around me as I encouraged Alice to carry on.

It has been an around one hour, the area was bright and the interior was exposed with rather smoothed rocked around the walls and a few dozens of green plants sticking out of the miniature cracks like poles standing up from the ground. Every once in a while I looked over at Alice to see her cute face as she tries to stay awake and desperately trying to keep her eyes open.

Kami, still asleep, produced loud snores in the background as it sounded as if it were getting more amplified. Alice's hair streamed down onto my upper torso as I looked at myself by slowly turning my head without breaking any more of my muscles/skeleton. My shoulder seemed more broad with a few bits of small scars covering my right shoulder due to my battle when I did my first special move, my shoulder broke with wounds cutting the skin. The attack is less of a continuous use strike and more of a double-edged sword as it both powerful but, requires an enormous amount of strength and dexterity or else what has already happened to me will occur again.

More steps followed after the speed of which we were trying seemed to slow down. Abruptly, Alice dropped and hovered softly a cm away from the ground. She's asleep! I rolled off her gorgeous back and fell flat onto the ground but, surprisingly felt chiselled and miraculously smooth without even a grain or loose gravel anywhere.

I stared at Alice, she looked like she was asleep but, as I glare closer horror struck me. Alice faces shaped into a sort of pain enduring appearance.

« She's is in trouble, what shall do?! » I replied in all urgency as my paralysed body seems to not listen to my instructions or movement.

Come on. Come on! Greater spirit lifted my body as I placed both fists onto the ground one by one. Struggling as I attempt to push myself upwards.

I wished I have done more press-ups back then.

«  Ahh, Ahhh, hurry, the body doesn't let me down! » I grunted as more huffs and puffs of air filled my lungs but, does not seem to be helping much.

Hurry, pain is just an illusion for danger I kept thinking as I began to push myself up more reaching above half way. Come on all the way...

« Ahhhhhhhhhhh! » I war cried as I launched my self upwards as pain covered my body. I pumped over to Alice and lifted her up onto my back, gripping her delicate body tightly.

Energy pumped within me, I walked slowly following the right pathways. The pain felt excruciating as my body glowed red for effort. Hours past, when...

«  LIGHT, I SEE IT! BODY GAVE ME STRENGTH! »

I yelled as dashed for the shimmering doorway of light.

I jumped through the large opening. The scenery beheld in front of me. Large green field of flower laid on the surface, the sun, at last, was seen and celebrated with a cry just as my body gave out on me. I began to close my eyes as a shadowy figure of a slender and carefree lady appeared. I gasped with my last ounce of energy.

« Help... me... plea... » my mouth gave out and I shut my eyes, and with the tiny corner of my eyes looked as though she was approaching me. I smiled as I blacked out...
