"What just happen?" Exia asked in bewilderment. Earlier, he was under the impression that something was happening inside his core of Mana. Although it only lasted briefly, he can sense it vividly.

Staring at his uncovered left-hand, Exia contemplated for a moment before letting out a chant while imagining an invisible glove, "Miracle Fists."

Instantly, his left-hand start enveloped in mana forces. However, Exia found one interesting thing. The spell he has executed for the second time appears more robust and forms faster than the first.

"Is it because I named it, it becomes the part of my Mana Core and thus establishing some sort of connection?" Exia mumbled under his breath.

He then remembers a thing Bernard ever mentioned, "Chanting is crucial for sorcerers. You indeed can release a spell without chanting, but a chant would certainly increase many aspects of your spell. This has proven directly by other sorcerers and me. Moreover, one of the five sorcery majors, Enchantment used ancient words as it's basic witchcraft."

"Is this what Sir Bernard is trying to tell?" Exia said ponderingly as he strokes his chin.

"If that's the case..." Exia gazed at his hand and chanted, "Cancel."

Following Exia's order, his Miracle Fist spell gradually dissipates, making his hand exposed to the air normally.

"Interesting..."

...

Having made several experiences through experiments, Exia is now quite getting the hang of his spell. The more frequent he keeps using his spell, the faster he could cast the spell, reduce the cooldown (CD), and improve the spell power.

Exia also discovers that chanting his spell name would increase his casting speed rate and its power. Surely it didn't increase much, still, having your ability enhanced just by uttering words is way too astonishing.

Deciding to take a break, Exia quickly went to his bed and collapsed on it directly. In just an hour, he used his spell for like five times consecutively. This made his Applicable Pool almost depleted due to the abundant amount of mana he draws from there.

As he closed his eyes for a power nap, he made a mental note to be up in a few minutes. However, it's likely because he was so exhausted, Exia ended up sleeping for the rest of the night.

The moment Exia wakes up, he noticed the sun has surfaced and brightened his room with its light. Rubbing his eyes groggily, Exia creased his forehead, "Looks like I overslept again, huh?"

He remained idle at his bed for a few minutes before realization dawned over him, "Damn! I'm gonna be late again."

Hastily stood up, Exia stormed out of his room for a quick bath.

...

Arriving at Ardelt's shop, Exia knocked twice before promptly entering it. As usual, Exia immediately spotted Ardelt in the middle of designing something.

"Good morning, Teacher." Exia greeted as he takes a seat on his chair.

Nodding at Exia's greeting, Ardelt inquired, "So, what did you learn from Bernard yesterday?"

"Hmm... Let's just say I learned a very, very good thing." Exia replied vaguely, putting a mysterious smirk on his face.

"What thing?" Ardelt asked while frowning, showing his displeasure at Exia's sly attitude.

"Watch this teacher. Miracle Fist!" As soon as Exia uttered the last sentence, a greyish-aura erupted from his skin pores and gradually enveloped his right hand.

This makes Ardelt instantly stood up from his posture and exclaimed in surprise, "You've succeeded in casting a spell?"

"Yes!" Exia said proudly with his both his hands placed on the side of his hip.

Shaking his head, Ardelt muttered unbelievably, "You're really extraordinary. In just a day, you almost reach Bernard's height."

Gawked at Ardelt's statement, Exia asked after a moment of hesitation, "What's Sir Bernard's rank?"

"Expert Sorcerer, in other words, a Sky-Blue Mana Core holder." Ardelt voiced out.

"Wow." Exia clapped in amazement. As expected from the formidable Sir Bernard.

Then he noticed a contradiction on Ardelt's words, "Then, why do Teacher told me I'm nearing Bernard's rank, when in fact, our rank still separated by a huge bridge?"

"Heh, although his Mana Core has transformed into Sky-Blue, his spells arsenal still stuck at Basic Tier Spells. So, basically, to say he is a fake Expert Sorcerer isn't an insult."

Hearing a tone of mockery in Ardelt's tone, the corner of Exia's eyes couldn't help but twitch, 'Aren't you enjoying this a bit too much?'

Noticing the judgement's gaze Exia cast, Ardelt cleared his throat before ordering him, "Go cut the wild grass on the backyard."

'Why am I being dragged into this mess?' Exia thought helplessly and nodded his head reluctantly, "Okay, Teacher."

Seeing the distressed look Exia displayed, Ardelt smiled in satisfaction and went to resume his writing.

Heading for the courtyard, Exia stretched his joint lightly as he stared at the wild grass in front of him, "This gonna take a while."

Grabbing the sword from the pile of the broken things, Exia starts swinging the sword on the wild grass until they shortened in height. It took him about twenty minutes to finally make the court cleaner.

As he throws the sword on his original position, Exia's eyes caught a glistening thing in the middle of the stack of broken things. In the beginning, he was going to ignore it, assuming that it was only because of the reflection of light that landed on the object. But, it's unknown whether it's because of his curiosity or another reason, Exia ended up approaching the stack. Discarding the things that obstruct the object, Exia finally sees the object's appearance, which keeps emitting a light earlier.

"A golden ring," Exia muttered in awe. Unconsciously, his hands start moving closer to the ring, and when his hand about to touch it, the door behind him burst out open, following by Ardelt's panicked voice, "Exia!"
