Zalrus Breakthrough

At a distance corner of Kilrun Duchy's territory, a gray-haired woman sit near a cave.

The woman sighed, before giving the inside of a cave a glance before returning back to watching the clouds as there is nothing else she could do.

"This is so boring," Hylla exclaimed, finding the entire situation to be a bore.

However, there is no doubt her action being important for the Duchy as a whole.

If she did not warn the Duke, her father in time, the defenders of the capital might be killed, and along with them would be her husband and her fellow sisters-wives.

"Please father, please breakthrough in time," she prayed, hoping for a miracle.

The Duke calmly reformed his Inner Realm. As he did not know of the current state of things, he could remain calm.

It is one of the reason why Ryker and the others keep the information from reaching the Duke, which is easy enough as he had chosen a remote area and staying out of sight during his attempt to reach the Noble Realm.

As for the reason it took so long to reach the Noble Realm, it is due to it being the next Grand Realm.

The reason why there are several Grand Realms is due to the fact each Grand Realm utilise different qi.

Or rather, when one ascend to the next Grand Realm, their qi will undergo significant improvement. During the Genesis Grand Realm, the qi would be called Genesis Qi, hence the name of Genesis Grand Realm.

As he would ascend to the next Grand Realm, the Spirit Grand Realm, his Genesis qi will undergo a transformation from Genesis qi to Spirit qi, an improvement that will increase the potency and quality of his qi.

While increase in minor realm would be increasing the amount of qi, while a raise in major realm would improve both quantity and quality of qi, albeit the later would only be a small improvement.

However, when one's ascend to the next Grand Realm, it will increase both quantity and quality of qi exponentially, a greater improvement that one would have a hard time to imagine.

Hence, why it is so hard to ascend to the Noble Realm due to the difficulty of upgrading one qi to become Spirit qi.

However, Zalrus knew he could do so, with the only thing stopping him is his understanding regarding the next realm as well as his foundation.

With both shortcomings being patched up, all thanks to his son-in-law, Zalrus knew his chance of succeeding had become a certainty.

The only thing left is the time he will took to ascend to the next Grand Realm. And so, he spend almost 6 weeks inside the cave, one created by him with one of the highest concentration of worldly energy in the Duchy, which is second to the capital.

The reason for him not doing so in the capital itself is due to his breakthrough would be very loud and show great signs, which could result in some people trying to stop his breakthrough.

And so, he chose this place to breakthrough. Currently, he is in the process of turning his Genesis qi into Spirit qi.

The vast amount of qi inside his Sea already finished it's transformation, with almost all of it having turned into Spirit qi.

Once all of his qi turned into Spirit qi, he will proceed to the next step. He observed in his Soul Avatar, guiding the transformation, as slowly, the last of it transformed, showing he had completed the first part of ascending to the Noble Realm.

At the moment, he could be considered as being at the Spirit Grand Realm, while his cultivation realm would be called Pseudo-Noble.

However, he did not plan on staying in the realm. He had heard stories of if he failed to breakthrough to the Noble Realm, he will remain stuck in Pseudo-Noble Realm, unable to ascend to the True Noble Realm without large amount of resources and pills.

He did not want for such thing to happen, and so continue his attempt to breakthrough the Noble Realm.

During the transformation process, the Sea inside of him had become wilder, more unruly as the wall restraining it was broken during the transformation of Genesis qi to Spirit qi.

He control the unruly qi before forcing it to clump together. This is the first step. The next one is to form it into the foundation as well as a symbol of those who reach the Noble Realm, a Noble Tower.

The Noble Tower is the manifestation of power of a Noble expert. With it, they could unleash the trademark of Spirit Grand Realm expert, a Domain.

Unlike the Pseudo-Domain of High-Stage Genesis Grand Realm experts, a true Domain could create manifestation of the Paths the cultivators in question comprehend.

The vividness and power of said Domain depends on their comprehension of the Paths as well as their cultivation realm.

It is where having higher comprehension can be more useful than having stronger cultivation realm.

Of course, stronger cultivation realm would still tilt the advantage in their favor but it will be less apparent in the face of opponent with greater comprehension of a Path.

As if now, the Noble Tower is slowly being formed, as markings and symbols decorating the walls as it being created.

The symbol on question borke similarities to the Paths the Duke comprehend, which are the Law of Earth, Law of Metal, and Law of Gravity.

As the Noble Tower continue to be build, the Duke pour forth his qi to construct the tower, as with each part being completed, the construction become harder as oppose to it being easier.

Finally, he reach the top of the tower, where the spire is located. It's where he could feel some resistance, as he could feel the struggle to finish the tower.

However, in face of the struggle, he remain strong, pushing his qi and even draining all of his qi to finish the final part of the tower.

As he finished the last part, the spire, a change took form in his Inner Realm, as worldly energy was absorbed into his Inner Realm by the tower.

At the top, the symbols of the Paths he comprehend took form, with three sbols floating at the very top.

The Duke let a sigh of relief as his Inner Realm undergo another drastic transformation as he finished his breakthrough, ascending to the Noble Realm.
