The town lord was currently looking in one specific direction before saying, "He's coming," Soon, Ryker appeared, looking at the assortment of snacks along with some drinks, the two most powerful people in the town clearly expecting him.
He took a seat, the town lord, motioned one of the servants to pour a cup to him. As he watched the cup slowly being filled, the town lord finally said, "So you guess we were behind this,"
"I guess it was when they tried to send some assassins after me. From what your subordinates told me, the patriarch won't fight a losing battle. If not, he won't get this powerful if he tried to fight above his weight class," he commented.
"Of course, that's what makes him so hard to handle, not to mention his influence, we could do something about it but he never tried to cause too much trouble so we can't do much," the town lord said, taking a sip from his drink.
"If an outsider is the one to take care of him, then things would sorted out on their own, am I right?" he asked.
"Yes. In a sense, you allow me to get full control of my town, so I would like to thank you," the town lord put a storage ring in front of him.
Ryker looked inside before raising his brows. "Considered this my apologies for involving you and helping me get rid of the tumor in this town,"
"I accept your apologies, let's talk about something else, shall were," he gave them a smile, the two let out a sigh of relief. Ryker couldn't be bothered. They might took advantage of him but they never intended to harm his loved ones.
As the night goes on, the three people chat, mostly Ryker asking questions about the barony while they answer. Soon, after all the snacks were finished, he excused himself before leaving the two older men.
"I think we have a very constructive evening, don't you think so, old friend," the town lord asked the captain, who nodded in agreement.
"Your plan worked perfectly and we didn't offend the young man,"
"Yes, so young but already so powerful. If he didn't die young, he would achieve great things in the future," the town lord exclaimed.

Ryker went back, arriving while it was still dark. He released his divine sense, sensing the rest of his siblings were still sleeping. The only one awake being-
"Ina," he said, sensing the figure behind him hugging him.
"Ryker, where did you go?" she asked, still hugging him as Ryker turned around to return it.
"Just dealing with some pests," he replied, before giving her forehead a little kiss.
The two separated, going to their bed. Soon, they removed their clothing, kissing as they both fell onto their bed.
Soon, the sound of flesh clapping along with moaning resounded from their room.

"You dealt with the one behind that guard, right?" Ina asked.
Ryker nodded, giving her a hug as he kissed her temple. Ina nuzzled his chest, her body covered in sweat, her skin pink from their nightly activity.
Ryker decided to hold back for the night, not wanting her to exhaust herself as well as allowing her to cultivate during their session. However, he did tell her that during the night they don't dual cultivate, he would be more intense.
Ina both anticipated and dreaded such a night. On one hand, she would experience great pleasure. The downside she would be plowed even after she lost consciousness, her body unable to move the day after.
He lightly laughed, kissing her lips this time before pulling her back to his embrace, the two fell asleep soon after.

The group decided to take a trip to the nearby markets, where merchants from both inside and outside the barony mingled to sell their goods. The siblings ran around, looking at every little thing with wonder. As they looked at different stores, they heard the people gossiping.
"To think the Morlene Family would be destroyed. Who could even do such a thing?" a woman talked to a store owner, their conversation heard by both Ryker and Ina due to their cultivation.
"They must offend someone powerful. I heard that both the patriarch and the heir become cripples, their servants leaving them. The other powerful family already made a move on their properties, slowly taking over it," the store owner replied.
"Those families must be overjoyed, the Morlene had their hands on many things, they must get a lot of things from the Morlene," as the two gossiped, Ina gave Ryker a sideways glance.
Meanwhile, Ryker was not surprised, the destruction of a powerful family, much less the lost powerful one, would result in a lot of talk by the town's people. Of course, while he was responsible for their destruction, he didn't plan to announce it.
Both the town lord and captain of the guard would likely keep the entire thing quiet, not wishing to draw his ire. He did hope that no one would make trouble or he would have to destroy another family.
Besides them, a young man with a long nose and surrounded by a couple of grizzled bodyguards, each looking battle-worn, scars littered their bodies. Aside from him, another young man with soft looks calmly looked around.
"To think the Morlene would be destroyed. I had a drink with the son, mind you. To think something like this happens," the long-nosed man said, looking a bit sad about the fate of his drinking partner.
"That's what happens when you offend someone you should not offended. My father told me about the one who destroyed the Morlene, saying even he and the captain won't stand a chance if the man decided to destroy the town," the soft-looking man replied.
"Can you tell me about the man then? So I don't suffer the same fate as the Morlene," he asked before his eyes glued to a direction.
"What you looking at?" the soft-looking man turned his head, only to freeze as he spotted what the other man looking at.
"Man, what a beauty. I'm going to show her some really good time. The guy over there didn't deserve to have someone like her," before he could get up, the soft-looking man grabbed the long-nosed man's shoulder before pushing him back to his chair.
While the long-nosed man is a cultivator, he is still only at the 2nd Stage of Genesis Gathering, not comparable to the other man's 6th Stage cultivation.
"Why?" he asked before seeing the soft-looking man's pale face.
"You asked the person you shouldn't offend, that is the one. He's the one that destroyed the Morlene, the person my father tried to appease so he wouldn't destroy our town. He even let that man keep all of the treasures inside the Morlene's mansion, even giving him extra just to apologize to him," hearing the soft-looking man's tales, the long-nosed man looked at Ryker with doubt.
"But he looked so young? How do you know it was him?" "Because last night, I served both my father and him. I see my father gave him a storage ring containing about one year of the town's tax collection," hearing this, the long-nosed man looked at him with fear and greed. One year of tax is more than enough to push any family up, one of the reasons the Morlene tried to control the town.
"One more thing, the son of the Morlene, he got beaten up because he tried to touch that man woman," with one final warning, the soft-looking man left, not wanting to be near the long-nosed man if he decided to do something stupid. Better get away from the splash zone if he could help it.
