Enlightenment in Lore of Sword

"Enlightenment? What did you mean by that, grandfather?" Solance asked the old man, who rushed towards their position and pulled everyone away.

"It's just like I said. He currently having enlightenment. Most likely his mastery of the Lore of Sword had reached Elemental Understanding from the sword qi surrounding him," the elder explained, looking furtively at the young man.

"So, what should we do?" Solance asked, glancing at his friend who currently meditating from the look of it.

"We let him have his enlightenment, and if needed, I'm going to spar with him so he could release the sword qi somewhere it wouldn't destroy our properties," the old man explained, looking at Rykee with a serious look.

"Also, Solance. Gather all of our guards who used swords. Watching someone going through enlightenment can give them some benefits, especially the one who practiced the Lore of Sword. We have to at least take some benefits from this," Solance nodded, doing as the older man told him.

Soon, the training field was filled with people watching Ryker having his enlightenment. His lovers and siblings are also watching, though they have the utmost confidence in their loved ones.

Several elders were also present, watching the young man who had contributed significantly to them, even if many of their own didn't know it. They watched as the sword qi got more intense. Preparing for the worst, the elders forced some of the guards back before creating a circular barrier around Ryker, to prevent his sword qi from accidentally causing harm.

Nodding at the rest of the elders, Solance's grandfather looked at him. Inside he wondered what was going through the young man's mind.

Ryker's first thought was that his enlightenment had been too explosive compared to his previous one. He was sure even if his mastery increased, it wouldn't be so noticeable, just like his two previous ones.

He didn't know it but his Cultivation Art was the one to blame for the lack of prolonged qi exposure. There is a reason why Cultivation Art and Cultivation Techniques are important to expand one's mastery of a certain path, especially the former.

Having greater mastery would allow one to control said Path better. For example, a person with a high mastery of Law of Fire could control the flame more exquisitely and precisely while also capable of unleashing a more powerful attack without losing control or using too much of their qi.

Because of both the Burning Flame Mantra and the Withering Death Scripture, his increase in mastery level had been under control. Oh sure, he still undergoes the explosive release one would suffer from increasing their mastery rank but because of the two Cultivation Art, he was able to control it better, subduing and controlling the erratic qi that was formed.

However, his mastery of the Lore of Sword didn't have the same help due to not having a Cultivation Art related to the Lore of Sword. He merely used the Cultivation Technique related to the Lore of Sword and practiced his swordsmanship.

This led to his lack of control when he exploded with sword qi. However, such a thing is more common, as people who raised their mastery to even level one will accidentally do the same thing. In fact, he was the weird one out due to his ability to control the errant qi so quickly.

As he slowly regained control of the sword qi, he could feel his strength rise. He had a feeling he could slash something with just his finger. He experimented with his sword qi, wondering if he should throw it somewhere in the training field when the old man called him,

"Throw those sword qi at me. This old man can handle it!" hearing this, Ryker threw the sword qi at Solance's grandfather, who created a clone that was hit by the attack.

Unsurprisingly, the clone disappeared though another one was created. Realizing what the old man wanted him to do, he threw use the sword qi, slowly getting used to it, his ability to control it getting better with more sword qi he used.

Before long, he could feel some semblance of control. With him being able to control the sword qi, he stopped attacking the forming clones as he took a deep breath, the sudden event took a lot out of him.

The elder walked towards him, lightly patting his shoulder, "All better boy?" he asked, Ryker, nodding slightly,  tired but better than before. In fact, he believed he could even fight a 7th Stage Genesis Core expert with his current strength.

He took a quick look at his Inner Realm, trying to find something new. He soon found it, a small sword floating next to the small fire and cloud of death. The look at his Inner Realm also let him know that he was close enough for another minor realm breakthrough.

He was about to ask for some room to undergo his breakthrough when the old man yelled, "Now this is over, get back to work!" his order sent the guards running, all heading towards their post, or for those that didn't need to patrol the estate for the day, back to the barracks.

The other elders also left, knowing what the young man was about to go through. Giving him some space would be a good idea. Avoiding the glare of the strongest elder and the second strongest person in the entire Hal Family also seemed like a good idea.

Soon, the only ones remaining were Ryker, the elder, Solance, and Shuri, his family had left with the patriarch. He was about to get some Genesis Stones when the old man poured them into his side, along with some Genesis Crystals.

"Think of this as an investment, boy. If you wish to repay it, then if we were in trouble in the future, lend us some aid," the old man said.

Hearing him, Rykee nodded, understanding why the old man was so generous. After putting enough Genesis Stone and Genesis Crystals, the old man left, taking with him his grandchildren.

It's a good thing as Ryker didn't wish for them to see what he was about to do. As they left his sight, he threw more Genesis Crystals into the pile. While what the old man gave him was more than enough, that was for regular Genesis Foundation experts.

For him, he would need a lot more to fuel his breakthrough. As he absorbed the energy from the crystals and stones, he circulated the Celestial Energy Art, slowly pushing through as he broke through another minor realm, advancing to the 6th Stage Genesis Foundation.
