Destruction of Esel Barony

 The battle of the Fortress City soon came to an end. Despite the survivors of the Esel Barony army trying their best, they couldn't hope to match the forces of the Mariz Barony at full force, not to mention most of their top experts were badly injured.

 As the bodies of the enemies were being piled up, all of their possessions being stripped of them, from armor and weapons to the storage rings they possessed, were also piled up, ready to be distributed to the soldiers.

 Ryker looked at the piling riches, though his attention was more on the storage ring in his hand, one that was once the belonging of the Baron of Esel. The other Genesis Source experts didn't fight him for it, as the plan they had concocted could only happen because of his presence and assistance.

 "Huh, to think the plan could work so well. I thought there would be more problems arising, either from our side or yours," the ancestor of Hal Family said to Ryker, who nodded, still surprised the plan they came up with worked so well.

 Simply put, the plan they come up with has two important components. The first one was Ryker and his elites able to take down the Fortress City, where they would plant as many traps as possible, ambushing the enemy's army as they tried to retreat to their territory.

 The second, and arguably the more important part of the plan, is for the Baron of Mariz to break through the Genesis Spring realm. Only by having the Baron reach the Genesis Spring realm would they be able to secure most of the Genesis Source realm and send them to assist in the ambush.

 If any core part of the plan failed, it would result in the plan failing, likely resulting in the death of majorities of their elites. Which could result in the downfall of the Mariz Barony. However, they had won, and that was the most important part of the plan.

 "So, are we going to continue the attack?" Ryker asked, tilting his head in the direction of the Esel Barony. 

 "Yes, but we could only hold it for a short time before the enemy kingdom sent their experts to reclaim the territory. Unless the Birak Kingdom sent their expert to help secure it, then this place would remain in their hand," the Hal Family ancestor replied, earning an understanding nod from Ryker.

 "Let's get ready then. At least we could get some loot from the enemy's territory," he pointed out. The rest looked at one another before nodding in agreement.

 It turns out, that the Birak Kingdom wholeheartedly supported the Mariz Barony decision to conquer the territory of Esel Barony. After all, it would mean their enemy would lose some territory, no matter how small and insignificant it was.

 With the support of the Birak Kingdom, the Mariz Barony began their counterattack. The Holos Kingdom, not wanting to lose territory as it would mean a loss of their face, sent their experts to destroy the forces coming to attack the Esel territory.

 However, the Birak Kingdom also sent in their experts, blocking the experts sent by the Holos Kingdom. With no more obstacles, the forces of Mariz Barony began their March towards the Esel inner territory, where the capital city of the Esel Barony is located.

 "Surrender now, and we will be lenient with your treatment!" the Grand General of the Mariz Barony yelled out, his words reverberating through the capital. After a while, with no response, the General gave the signal for attack.

 At once, the Genesis Source experts, plus Ryker, flew towards the capital city. They circled the city before unleashing a bombardment on the city's wall. Despite their combined attack, the city, or to be exact, the formation protecting it, remained strong. Yet, they persist in their assault.

 The Esel Capital city possessed formations equivalent to the one in Mariz Capital city, if not even stronger due to their age. However, even such strong formations couldn't be maintained when it was constantly bombarded by powerful experts.

 The formations held on for another half an hour before it couldn't hold any longer, breaking apart by the time it reached its limit. With the formation no longer there, the forces of Mariz Barony began their assault, ready to destroy their enemy once and for all.

 At least that was the plan before a couple of people, guards by the look of their uniform, pushed several people out of the gate, their hands and legs were cuffed. The leader walked towards the Grand General before bowing down to him.

 "We wished to announce that the populace of the Esel Capital City had surrendered. To prove our sincerity, we decided to hand out the group against the surrender, all of them belonging to the family of the late Baron and some of his staunchest supporters.

 They are the only ones who wish to continue resisting. As for the rest, we decided to surrender. If you wished to punish someone, please punish them," the guard's head touched the ground as he kept bowing, not even daring to lift his head.

 The Genesis Source experts look at each other before the General makes his decision, "Very well, we accept your surrender and the captive. Our men will enter the city. But I made myself clear, if there is any sign of resistance, there will be no mercy," 

 The man nodded vigorously, agreeing with the demand. With an order from the General, several Genesis Core experts began to drag the war prisoners into their camp. The gate then opened widely, the soldiers of Mariz Barony began to enter the city.

 The vanguard of the army, along with the General walked towards the center of the city, where the mansion of the Baron of Esel was located. The General then planted the flag of Esel Barong, signaling that the Mariz Barony had conquered the Esel Barony.

 Unsurprisingly, there is still some resistance, those who keep on resisting are completely loyal to the Esel Barony. For those people, the Mariz Barony didn't show any mercy, killing those who kept on resisting while turning their loved ones into slaves.

 The battle to destroy the resistance was finished quicker, mostly because the resistance was ill-equipped and lacked experts to combat the forces of the Mariz Barony. In no time, the resistance was fully destroyed, no longer existing.

 Meanwhile, the experts sent by the Holos Kingdom retreated, realizing they couldn't hope to re-conquer the territory. Despite the Holos Kingdom experts retreating, the Birak Kingdom kept on their watch, not planning to let the Holos Kingdom take the chances of taking back the territory if their experts moved out.
