Conflict in Auction House

The curtain came apart, showing a beautiful woman standing there. Ryker had to admit the woman on the stage was very beautiful, eclipsing even Ina and Era, two beautiful women by right.

She has long brown hair, so long it reaches her buttocks. Her gray eyes seemed to contrast her white skin, making it look even more astounding. Her long white leg could make anyone stop what they doing to stare at her.

She is wearing a white dress, though it covers little, likely to make the hot-blood male inside bid for her more intensely. The white dress came up to her butt, a breeze could push it up, giving the participants a show.

The dress has holes in her midriff and chest, showing her navel and her cleavage. The dress also didn't cover her sides, allowing the people at the side to more of her breasts. The slave then makes a spin, giving the audience a look at her back, with no clothes covering her upper back.

"This beauty is not an ordinary one, in fact, she came from a prestigious family," the auctioneer announced.

"So the rumors are true," Uza exclaimed, Ryker gave him a look.

"There were rumors about the slave coming from a powerful family but most people had thought it to be just that, a rumor. No powerful family wants the knowledge of one of their own being a slave to be a known subject, even if said person was disowned by the family," he explained, Ryker nodded as he focused on the slave.

"This beauty is a daughter, or former daughter, of the Grus Family. She was put up for auction by the elders. Her story is really sad. The gentleman who get her could console her, but that's if they bid the highest.

Because she came from a powerful family, her starting price needed to reflect it, starting at 100 gold coins, every successive bid needed to be 50 gold coins or higher," the auctioneer announced.

"The Grus Family?" Ryker asked, not caring for the auction. Besides, the bidding wouldn't end so quickly.

"They were one of the city's more powerful families, having an expert at the 4th major stage of Genesis Grand realm. However, the expert was injured during an expedition. The Grus family was forced to spend a fortune to get the necessary pills to heal him.

This caused them to fall into debt. To think they would sell one of their own, then again, despite being so beautiful, the daughter of the Grus family has low standing in the family, so that is likely the reason she was sacrificed by the family,"

Hearing all he wanted, Ryker turned his attention back towards the auction, the bidding had risen to 4 digits when he was not looking.

"5000 gold coins!" he called out, the auctioneer giving him a quick look before asking for other bids.

"6000 gold coins!" a young man with a crooked nose called out, looking down at him.

"7000!" he called once more, not caring for the other person.

"8000!" the crooked-nose man bid, looking at him, daring him to bid.

"9000!" he won't take that lying down, looking at the young man with a calm look.

  "10 000!"

  "11 000!"

The bidding between the two continued until they reached 17,000 gold coins. The young man seemed to be seething, the man beside him telling him something.

"Friend," he said to Ryker, "You should choose your battle carefully. You can't mess with some people in the city, 18 000!" he called out.

"19 000," Ryker said, ignoring the threat. Besides, if the young man wanted to fight, he would give him one.

"19,000 gold coins going once, going twice, sold to the gentleman with black and white hair!" the auctioneer yelled, some of the other participants seemed to be looking at them like a bunch of prey.

A glare from Uza and the rest plus them letting out their cultivation realm make those unwanted looks disappear. Sure they have the numbers if they all decided to attack the group. But how many of them would die before the group were killed?

The only one still looking at him is the young man, glaring at him menacingly. However, he didn't make a move as doing so was equal to suicide. Ryker gave a storage ring containing the 19,000 gold coins before heading out.

However, he was intercepted by the young man, "I already gave you a warning earlier, now you will pay for going against the young master of Tres Family,"

His guards unleashed their cultivation, the weakest among them at the 4th Stage of Genesis Formation expert. He looked at him with a smug smile, thinking they would stand no chance against the men he had brought, 20 Genesis Formation experts.

"Let me give you a little advice, sometimes, people don't flaunt their strength for no reason, so why do you think we are weak just because we don't show off?" Ryker unleashed his full strength.

Because of some of the resources he obtained, his cultivation had risen to the 8th Stage Genesis Formation, but if he truly went all out, his strength was equal to a 1st Stage Genesis Condensing expert.

The young man's guards fell to the ground, the suppression too much for them. Ryker and his group walked past him, seemingly ignoring him. The young man gritted his teeth, never having been treated like that his entire life.

"Elder, please take him out for me," he called out to an old man next to him, one that had hidden himself, acting as the secret protector if any powerful expert made any move towards his charges.

Before he could do anything, a hand held his shoulder, stopping him as he felt great oppression from the owner of said hand.

"Don't meddle in the fight between the younger generation," the owner of the hand said, releasing his cultivation at the peak of Genesis Condensing realm.

The old man turned his head, his charge looking at the one stopping his guard from making a move, a mixture of rage and fear showed on his face.

"You a supervisor from the Adventurer Guild!" the old man exclaimed. A power equal to the city lord's force, the number of experts in the Guild is greater than any major family, much less a first-rate family like theirs.

"Why are you protecting that boy?" the old man asked, wanting to know the reason for the interference of the member of the superpower.

"I have high hopes for him, he is one of the current rising stars in the Guild so you better back off or I will deal with your family myself," the supervisor warned, before leaving them.

"Elder, we sho- " "We won't do anything unless you want our family destroyed, that man could fight every expert from the family and come out on top," the old man replied, fear running through him from the fact of possibly angering the expert.

While their family has 3 Peak Genesis Condensing experts, they are likely no match for the man, who came from the organization that is famous for having experts who braved through danger daily, their battle experience far greater than the experts from the major family.

"Let them go for now. Wait until the boy takes a mission or when no one is near him, then I will take action," the old man assured his charge, who nodded.

"Don't think you win now, I'll come for you,"
