Blood

Ren brought Marie into the living room and there, he slowly sat her down, checking her temperature and covering her up with his coat. Fuck! Even he who was wearing a coat was cold what more for a child who wasn't wearing any, she must be freezing to death.

Ren sat down and placed Marie's head on his lap as the kid lied her body down. Ren fixed the coat which was sliding down from her and began stroking her hair.

Celi who had been looking for her master came into the living room. She witnessed the sweet sight of Miss Ren seated with Losey lying down on the couch with her head on her Miss' lap as she stroke the kid's hair. Losey was covered with a coat which was Miss Ren as Celi had seen it many times. She did the laundry after all.

Miss Ren looked very caring. She wasn't faking it, Celi knew because she had serve Miss Ren for a long time and knew her very well, like her five fingers. she thought she would never see a sight like this.

She never thought a time would come when her master would take her responsibilities seriously. She really loved this new side of her Miss. She just hoped she wouldn't go back to her old self on one bad night.

Ren looked up, he was just about to call for a maid when he saw Celi who was smiling at them. "Celi!" Celi answered "Yes Miss" as it looked like she snapped out of whatever thought she was lost in.

Celi headed for Ren as she stood in front of him, bowed slightly when she reached him.

"Please bring a glass of warm milk to Losey's room. We'll be there"

"Yes, Miss" Celi happily said and left. Ren looked back at Marie who was looking at him and smiled. The kid still looked scared of him. He didn't know why, okay maybe hr did, anyway, but he was going to do his best to change that.

"Is not really a demon, but like..... I don't know! If it was really a demon then he or she would have contacted me right? But that had never happened to me before" Fred helplessly said. Yui nodded his head understanding.

"And that's why I don't think is a demon"

"Do you think maybe is the dark side of a demon which is within you?" Yui asked. Fred nodded his head and began unbuttoning his shirt.

"What the heck are you doing?! I'm not........ I would never cheat on Zijie!!!" Yui said, closing his eyes while covering them with his hands. Fred rolled his eyes and took off his shirt.

"What the fuck are you spouting?! And who said I would cheat on my man? I just want to show you something, also, we're both men remember?"

"Oh, yes, we're both man. It only apply when you're in a place with lot of guys who aren't gay. You can't be alone with a gay guy, take off your cloths and just say we're both men. It doesn't apply here, get it!" Yui said as he opened his eyes.

He wasn't done yet but seeing Fred's left arm which he was showing him shut Yui up completely. Fuck!! That was one look of darkness!!

Fred's arm was infected with the dark side of a demon. His arm was completely covered with black and it was spreading. The left side of his neck seemed to be getting infected too as there were traces of black on his skin. Yui thought maybe he was seeing things and so he got up and went to sit on the left side of Fred where he could see everyday clearly.

He wasn't seeing things. Fred's neck was really getting infected.

"Fred, your neck" Fred touched the left side of his neck. He brought back his hand and saw the evidence on his fingers as he stared at the black on his hand. He was infected on the neck too. It wouldn't be long until Chris also found out everything.

"My family is an abnormal family. Generations after generations, this dark side has been past down. This generation, I inherited it instead of my brothers. Oh, don't get me wrong, they're not abnormal because of the dark side in the family. They're just naturally abnormal"

"I see"

"Please don't tell anything to Chris"

"He doesn't know. Does Eric know?" Yui asked.

"He doesn't and he doesn't have to know either. He might also find out the other one which would probably end our years friendship" Fred said, as he began wearing his shirt.

"The other one? What is it?" Yui asked in curiosity. "I was sent to kill Eric but ended up becoming his friend"

"Fucking kill me now. He really doesn't have to know" Fred nodded as he finished putting on his shirt. He buttoned everything up and turned to face Yui with a sad smile.

"Right" he said. Yui held his head, he seemed to be thinking of something.

"I can help you but I have to know. Do you know why you are turning? Have you turned before?"

Fred shook his head before seeing, "I don't know"

"Then, do you remember everything after you turn?"

"No, I don't. I always remember before I turned but after turning, I won't remember anything and my family won't tell me anything" Fred explained.

"I see. I think, your situation is different from Chris's. With you, you need blood to suppress the transition and you also need blood to satisfy the dark side so you would turn back into demon. So....., I think you go for blood whenever you turn and you lose memories of it when you satisfy the dark side and it goes back"

Fred's eyes widened in shock. That could be the only explanation. He....he killed people. He had been killing people all these years!! He was the worst. Why was he even surprised? That was expected from someone who was born into a family of murders.

Fred wiped his face with his hands.

"If you want to slow done the transition, the you would need blood. I'll give you my blood" Fred snapped out of his thoughts, looking at Yui with widened eyes. He looked like he couldn't believe what he just heard.

"I'm a good person you know" Yui said when he saw Fred giving him that look. "But, you're a demon, will it work?" Yui stroking his arms. Shit! It was cold out here. Why didn't he wear a coat or something.

"I'm also a half human. It will work. I would have given you more to satisfy the dark side and stop the transition but I will from it" A smile spread on Fred's lips as he said, "I see".
