#Chapter10
Water drips from her body as she steps out of the lukewarm rose scented bath, and stands in front of the full-length mirror, vigorously drying her long dark brown hair, her reflection staring back at her.
She shudders as the memories from the past four years grab her, and spiral her downwards into the dark recess of her mind. Juliana does not fight it but embraces the memories of the violence that took place, the erasing of the destroyers of her life, the killers of Paul and their unborn child.
She feels no remorse at the path she chose, only a total release from the shroud that had engulfed her, and kept her emotions locked away for all those years, but now that the Maiali had paid the ultimate price for the invasion into her life, she was free to grieve and free to join Paul forever after.
