I stated that Adonai cannot be described, I have searched many references and various enlightenments, including the glorious Vedas, the holy Tanakh, the venerable Qur'ān, the authoritative Hadith, and many others. However, a seemingly insurmountable logical impasse has been encountered.
Reason alone proved insufficient to grasp the divine attributes. Imagination also proved equally helpless in this endeavor. Hence, attempts to define the divine essence, whether through the lens of pure reason or imaginative projection, must be abandoned. The only way to understand God is to go, not be a mortal.
His names are numerous, the often mentioned "Adonai" (אדני, أدوناي) functioning primarily as a title, equivalent to the vocabulary "Rabb" (رب). Both are classified as "great names" (Ismul A'dhom in Islamic tradition) used for prayers that have a high chance of being answered. The mentions of "Allah" (اللّٰه) and (יהוה) are considered to be major names. Notably, Sa'id bin Yusuf al-Dilasi, author of the esteemed Targum Rasag, argued for the equality of these names. He argues that "Allah" functions as a personal name, reflecting the Tetragrammaton.
In addition, there are many other designations, such as "Alu Shaday" (El-Shaddai), "Ahyan Shar Ahyan" (Asher Ehyeh Asher), and "Ashbaut" (Tzevaot). These designations only serve as pointers to an indescribable divine direction, inconceivable to us. In other words, no matter how much we explain God, using logic or the subconscious level, everything will be in vain, everything will return to the same dead end.
With each word that emanated from Adonai's divine lips, an undeniable sense of absolute truth permeated the air, resonating within the depths of every soul present. His utterances carried the weight of undeniable wisdom and unassailable authority, leaving no room for doubt or skepticism.
