Chapter Thirteen Jade

"She left the library and went to her dorm. Alicia was fast asleep with her phone screen on, so she bent over and switched it off. Having seen Alicia do this before, it was easy to locate the button to turn off the phone. She went to her bed and laid down to sleep.

She woke up early the next morning, went through her morning routine, and had breakfast. When she returned to her room, she found that she had missed a call from her parents. She called them back and her brother answered, so she playfully talked to him before her father spoke to her in a sad voice. He explained that Jade was really sick and in poor health.

Not knowing what to do, she asked her father to bring Jade to her as she was very dear to her. She ended the call, took her bag, and got ready to go. Alicia wanted to follow her, but if she was too late, Mary would have to leave without her.

They made their way to the lecture hall and Mary saw Aaron but he didn't talk to her due to his promise. They had four classes that day, and everyone was prepared for a mental drain. Everyone opened their laptops, and the lecture began. The first class was Optometry, and the lecturer was a grey-haired man who loved sending students out of the class. No one dared to make noise or perform any form of shenanigans.

The class ended three hours later, and Mary had almost filled up all her notes. Mary was drained and tired, but she couldn't stop writing. The next three classes were on Vasectomy, Biochemistry, and Neurology, and each class went on for a duration of three hours. At some point, students were sleeping or playing games on their devices. Mary, on the other hand, remained focused, although she was dozing off at some point.

The classes ended at 7 pm, and everyone was so exhausted that they rushed back to their hostels to rest. Mary and Alicia made their way to their dorm room, changed their clothes, and went to bed immediately."
