Chapter Nine The First Lesson

When the alarm rings, all students are expected to be at the school's Large Hall, it wasn't an high school where students would be punished by detention, or other means, for getting tardy, Students would get punished by removal of ten points off their meal points used for ordering food, and if they were frequently getting late their face and crime, would be displayed on the schools large bill board and be ridiculed.

The Higher level students knew of this, so they were always early, Freshmen are always the victims of this punishment so students in higher levels always laugh, seeing the shocked faces of late freshmen.

Mary quicky left the room to get to the Hall and was stopped Alicia who wanted to persuade her to wait for her, Mary didn't hesitate, and quickly left the room while Alicia was still trying to have her bath and do other things.

Mary Located the hall easily, as it was conspicuous and large enough for anybody to notice. when she got there, she was asked for her i.d which she gave to the Officer who asked for it, The officer also asked for her card, which was used for food and other things, which will be explained or so she heard from other students who were talking.

She handed her card to the Officer and her card was topped with 500 coins, That was a reward for coming early. She was so happy and was guided to her seat, where she saw some students, mostly higher levels.

She got looked at by some students, who were making fun of her dressing, but she wasn't bothered. then the unbelievable happened, right beside her she saw Aaron, the boy she saw at the entrance exam.

Aaron recognized her immediately and they hugged, before she realized she had just hugged a boy for the first time, she was blushing red but soon calmed down, they began talking about academics and he informed her on what she didn't know about the school.

At this point they were getting so much looks that Aaron noticed so he just stopped talking to her and went to his friends, She wasn't bothered, all she wanted was to be a professional doctor and not somebody's girlfriend.

Soon the hall was filled and late-comers started getting punished, which they were surprised by.

A tall slender man, on a black suit started addressing them, he was the best doctor in the country. he talked to them about how to read and succeed as a student and as a trainee doctor, he also said those who don't reach a standard by the end on session will be withdrawn, this made some students more determined, he ended the talk by saying something her parents always told her "Doctors care but God heals". he left the podium and other trained professionals spoke, they also said the cards would now be able to be used to buy materials, clothes, necessities and others so wise spending was advised as people who spend all their coins before the end of the month, would have to use real money to buy coins, this brought an outrage in students and the hall became very rowdy.

They were silenced by the students representative who explained the need for this initiative, the Rich kids didn't bother as they could use money to buy more coins.

The Orientation ended at 5pm and all students were exhausted and went to their various dorms to rest.
