Thor lay there as Jane Foster threw herself onto him, tears streaming down her face as she desperately called out his name. Thor raised his hand slowly and spoke softly, "It's all over... You're safe now."
The others wore expressions of sadness as Loki, controlling the Destroyer, walked slowly towards the outskirts of the small town. Tears welled up in Odin's eyes as he lay in his slumber, and he released the suppression on Thor's powers. Nourished by the power of the gods, Thor regained his strength.
The sky instantly darkened with thick clouds, and silver lightning crackled within them. Dr. Erik Selvig quickly pulled Jane Foster away as a mighty hammer descended from the sky, firmly gripped by Thor. A shiny silver armor emerged amidst the thunder.
Under Loki's control, the Destroyer turned around, and a surge of intense energy filled its faceplate. Thor hurled his hammer, Mjolnir, fiercely striking the Destroyer's head, causing it to stagger.
Empowered by his regained godly strength, Thor decided to teach Loki a lesson. He swiftly ascended into the sky, twirling his hammer to create a tornado that lifted the Destroyer high above. Loki, standing before the throne, felt the flow of power abruptly stop. Although it was only for an instant, the powerless Destroyer was instantly engulfed by thunder.
Sensing spatial fluctuations, Loki halted his control over the Destroyer and turned towards the Rainbow Bridge. Dust from the landing of the Destroyer obscured the vision of the onlookers. As the dust settled, the crowd cheered for Thor's victory over the seemingly empty crater.
Hidden behind a building, Yihu's mouth curled slightly. He suddenly remembered that, according to the plot, the Destroyer wasn't taken away by Thor but was rather claimed by S.H.I.E.L.D, and Tony Stark used it to create a suit of armor.
Embracing the mindset of not missing out on any advantages, Yihu nonchalantly pocketed the Destroyer. Thor looked at the empty crater with a sense of pride, feeling invincible before his legendary armor.
"Would you like to see the Rainbow Bridge?" Thor gently embraced Jane Foster and, with her hopeful gaze, soared into the sky. Sif's eyes flickered, but she didn't feel much jealousy in her heart. A human limited by her lifespan wouldn't pose a threat to her.
"Welcome to Asgard!" Loki approached Laufey with a gesturing hand towards the realm of the gods. Laufey took a deep breath of the air in Asgard, a glint of coldness flashing in his eyes. He followed Loki as they made their way to Odin's sleeping chamber.
Frigga watched as a frosty mist spread on the door. She drew her sword and stabbed towards the approaching Laufey, leaving a white mark on him. Just as Frigga was about to change her tactics, a chill suddenly swept through her body.
Laufey gently pushed Frigga away and slowly mounted Odin's body, uncovering the one-eyed king's eye. With a cold tone, he said, "I heard you can still feel everything around you. Remember, it was me who killed you!"
Odin's finger twitched slightly, as the divine power within him had settled down. He was about to surprise Laufey, even if it meant getting injured. However, a blazing surge of energy blasted Laufey away from Odin. Loki, holding the Gungnir spear, pointed it at Laufey with a cold voice.
"Remember, it was the son of Odin who killed you!"
Finishing his words, Loki raised his hand and fired another energy beam, killing Laufey.
Frigga, freed from the cold, excitedly held Loki's hands.
"Loki, you saved him!"
"Don't worry, Mother! I swear to you, I will make Jotunheim pay!"
When they saw the crisis, they contacted Odin and calmed their divine power within. At the same time, Thor and the others, guided by Heimdall, returned to Asgard. Upon hearing Loki's words, a trace of dissatisfaction appeared on Thor's face.
"Why didn't you tell Mother how you sent the Destroyer to kill me?"
Looking at Frigga's puzzled expression, Loki stubbornly replied, "Perhaps that was Father's final command."
Thor walked slowly to face Loki with an unfriendly tone. "You truly are a master of lies!"
Loki's face darkened, and he raised the Gungnir spear, releasing an energy beam at Thor, knocking him down. He muttered, "I still have to destroy Jotunheim! I don't have time to chat with you!"
Loki glanced at his bewildered mother, gritted his teeth, and rushed out of the room, riding on Sleipnir towards the control room of the Rainbow Bridge. He inserted the Gungnir spear into the console, locking onto Jotunheim. The immense energy of the Rainbow Bridge tore through space and reached Jotunheim, rending the earth.
Thor followed closely behind, fighting his way to the Rainbow Bridge. With Mjolnir in hand, he quickly subdued Loki and pressed Mjolnir against Loki's chest. He looked anxiously at the Rainbow Bridge, which was releasing a torrent of energy.
Awakened by the commotion and no longer suppressing his divine power, Odin opened his eyes and quickly rushed toward the Rainbow Bridge. He cursed in his heart, thinking how reckless Thor was to destroy something so valuable.
As he watched the cracked Rainbow Bridge, Loki angrily shouted at Thor, "What are you doing? If you destroy this bridge, you'll never see her again!"
Ignoring Loki's words, Thor raised the hammer of Thor and fiercely smashed it onto the cracked Rainbow Bridge. As he looked at the distant shimmering white light, a faint twitch appeared on Odin's face. The tremendous suction force of the World Tree prevented Thor from flying, but just as he felt despair, a powerful hand grabbed his ankle and pulled him upward.
Loki looked at Odin with a dignified expression and said in a deep voice, "Father, I could have done it. Everything was for you, for all of us!"
"No, Loki..." Odin's face revealed a hint of sadness. He was prepared to reveal his original plan of making Loki the king of Jotunheim and Thor the king of Asgard, forging an eternal alliance between the two realms. Hearing Odin's denial, disappointment appeared on Loki's face, and he slowly released his grip on the Gungnir spear.
"No! Loki!"
Thor shouted loudly, and Odin, looking at his repentant son, swallowed the scolding words he had prepared. With the Rainbow Bridge destroyed, Asgard's control over the Nine Realms plummeted.
Sensing the broken Rainbow Bridge, the Arquillians began invading the weaker realms, plunging the Nine Realms into chaos. Thanos, who was studying how to find the Infinity Stones, noticed the rupture of the Rainbow Bridge, and his eyes flickered. He had previously detected the presence of multiple stones within the Nine Realms, but the long-range strike capability of the Rainbow Bridge posed a challenge for him.
But now, everything was no longer a problem. Suddenly, Thanos sensed the disturbance of ice elements in space. He reached out his right hand and pulled out drifting ice blocks from the void.
With the absence of spatial restraint, the ice elements surrounding Loki instantly froze the ground. Thanos snorted coldly and lightly stomped his right foot, shattering the ice, revealing Loki holding the Casket of Ancient Winters inside.
