Special Chapter: Pendant Spirit (1)

MCU Universe, somewhere in Brooklyn

"Big bro?"

Little Natasha, currently 5 years old noticed something odd and curiously looked around expecting it was her brother. But she saw no one.

For a few hours, she stayed there in front of the TV until she felt hungry. She stood up from her seat and looked at the doorstep, her brother's shoes was not there.

Little Natasha felt that it was odd that her brother wasn't home yet and she went out of the house. She then went to the police station near their house and reported what happened.

After hearing what little Natasha said, the police officer just chuckled and assured her.

"So you're saying your big brother hasn't been home yet at this hour and you think he's missing? Kid, your brother's just late so don't worry. Let me take you back home."

" . . . "

After a few weeks, you can see little Natasha sitting alone in the balcony of an orphanage as she looked at the stars while the other kids were sleeping.

It has been a few weeks since her brother went missing. According to the police, the last place he was seen was in the street two blocks away from their home. He was caught entering an alleyway by the camera but he didn't come out of the alleyway, neither did he leave on the other side.

After confirming that he was indeed missing, Natasha was temporarily handed over to the nearby orphanage to take care of her.

As soon as a week has passed, Natasha was then permanently left in the care of the orphanage and Vincent was declared deceased with the reason being suspected kidnapping.

Although Natasha is in the orphanage right now, the police officer who took care of her when she first reported her brother missing took care of the papers and named the property of the land and house after her.

Back to the present, Natasha is currently staring at the stars remembering something her brother always told her.

'Do you know that different worlds exists and they're as many as the stars in the sky? Natasha, if ever I am gone, just look at the stars and remember that I am in one of them watching you.'

For the first time, Natasha teared up and cried while sobbing quietly. Still she looked up at the stars with muddled eyes hoping that her brother can see her.

"I will find you big bro..."

[ "I feel fucking terrible." ]

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to her, there was a rose patterned pendant hanging on her neck. This was a pendant that Vincent made and imbued with a fragment of his soul before leaving.

[ "I expected it to be this way but this sucks ass. Hurry up and come back main body." ]

" . . . "

A few days has passed and Vincent (Soul Fragment) watched Natasha in her everyday life. He watched as she ate, played with other kids, studied hard and watch the stars at night. Since that night, that was the last time that she cried.

Today, February 12 1990, someone visited the orphanage and looked at the children. It seemed like someone wanted to adopt children. And although Vincent (Soul Fragment) was reluctant, he thought that it was better for Natasha.

Oh how wrong was he in that assumption...
