Chapter 134: Devouring Star-Lord and Becoming Eternal

As Peter ventured beyond the universe to seek out that special realm, a spaceship hurtled through the vast expanse of space.

With a series of rapid temporal jumps, the ship finally emerged from a wormhole, appearing near a mesmerizing planet.

"We've arrived!"

After taking a moment to steady himself from the dizziness and nausea caused by the repeated jumps, Yondu pointed towards the beautiful, otherworldly planet ahead.

"Is that guy called Ego on this planet?"

Thor, unaffected by the spaceship's interstellar journey due to his extraordinary physique, had already familiarized himself with their mission's target: a powerful and enigmatic figure named Ego.

"He should be here. I can sense a strong presence on that planet," Magneto said, his eyes also fixed on the planet outside the ship, his expression serious.

"In that case, let's get down there and get this over with quickly," Thor said, gripping his battle axe tightly, eager to confront this Ego.

The spaceship began its descent towards the planet. Within moments, they entered its atmosphere.

"Be careful. This Ego is not simple; he's one of the most mysterious beings I've ever encountered," Yondu warned Magneto and Thor earnestly.

"What, you're not coming with us?" Thor asked, looking at Yondu with a hint of mockery, sensing his reluctance.

"No, I'll stay here and ensure I can provide you with backup whenever necessary," Yondu replied. Although a seasoned space pirate, Yondu knew better than to dive into situations where the risks outweighed the benefits. He wouldn't be taking this gamble if it weren't for Peter's orders.

"Coward. It's better you stay here; we won't have to worry about protecting you," Magneto sneered at Yondu before leaping out of the spaceship, hovering hundreds of meters above the ground.

"See you when we get back!" Thor laughed, gripping his battle axe as he followed suit, leaping down without hesitation.

"Damn it, am I overthinking this?"

On the planet's surface, Rocket and Drax were aimlessly touring with the girl. Unlike the enthusiastic Drax, Rocket seemed distracted.

They had been on this planet for a few days now. Despite his investigations, Rocket couldn't figure out what Star-Lord's supposed father was really up to. This guy was extremely attentive to Star-Lord, rarely leaving his side, as if trying to make up for decades of lost time.

During this period, Star-Lord seemed to have temporarily accepted his newly found father, accompanying him to explore the planet's beautiful landscapes.

Today, however, it seemed they had some private matters to discuss.

"But something doesn't add up. Quill was born on Earth, far from here. Why did this guy go all the way to Earth to meet Star-Lord's mother?" Rocket suddenly realized something was off.

"No, I need to tell Quill about this."

As a friend, Rocket didn't want Star-Lord to be deceived, especially by a father he had never met.

"Hey, look at that!"

Just as Rocket was about to find Star-Lord and express his concerns, Drax looked up at the sky, his curiosity piqued.

"What is that? Someone jumping from that high? Are they crazy?"

When Rocket looked up, he was shocked. Two figures were descending from the sky.

Boom!

One of the figures, just a few meters from the ground, spread his arms and slowed his descent, gracefully landing on the planet's surface with an elegant posture.

The other figure, however, did not slow down and crashed into the ground, creating a large crater in the grassy field. The figure then stood up from the cool landing pose, holding a silver battle axe, and looked at the astonished Rocket.

"Hey, little rabbit, do you know where Ego is?"

"Rabbit? You big idiot, are you talking to me?" Rocket pointed at himself, confused.

"Of course I'm talking to you. Do you know a guy named Ego?" Thor looked at Rocket, who wasn't even as tall as his thigh, and continued to ask.

"Shit, you're the rabbit!" Rocket, enraged at being called a rabbit twice, pulled out his energy cannon and aimed it at Thor.

"Alright, don't waste your time with this little mouse. I've already found where that guy is," Magneto said, interrupting the impending conflict as he sensed the powerful energy.

He then levitated and flew rapidly towards the distance.

"Hmph, little rabbit, I won't bother with you!" Thor ignored Rocket's fury and leaped into the air, following Magneto with a thunderous roar.

"Who are these guys? They seem incredibly powerful!" Drax said, standing next to Rocket, watching the figures fly away.

"They're looking for Ego… Damn it, something's wrong. Let's follow them!" Rocket realized Thor's earlier question about Ego and suddenly felt anxious. He hurried after them.

On the Planet, in a Special Hall

"Ah! Such immense power is coursing through my entire being!"

Star-Lord's body hovered in the air, radiating an incredibly brilliant light. A powerful force surged through him. Below, Ego, his hair white, raised his hands. Two azure beams of light, like ropes, connected him to the floating Star-Lord. The same terrifying power filled Ego, making him feel a profound excitement.

"My son, what do you see now?"

Both men, linked by this mighty force, had their eyes glowing with intense blue energy.

"I seem to... see the infinite universe... and... eternity!"

Star-Lord's eyes appeared to pierce through the entire cosmos, traversing countless galaxies from a third-person perspective. Suddenly, a human-like figure darted rapidly across his vision, sparking his curiosity. But the next moment, he was captivated by an even more shocking scene. In the boundless void, he saw a colossal, indescribable figure. Numerous universes were enveloped within its body, symbolizing the essence of eternity!

"Yes, my son, this is the power we must pursue!"

"As long as we unite, we will control the entire universe and even the eternity beyond it!"

Ego was ecstatic. Since his consciousness was born, he had awaited this moment—seeing the seeds he planted throughout the universe finally bloom. His power would ultimately consume the entire cosmos. He would become the mightiest existence within it. No, not just this universe. He would be the closest entity to eternity in the infinite multiverse!

"Transcend the universe, attain eternity? You must be dreaming!"

Suddenly, a voice cut through Ego's excitement, altering his expression instantly. A massive axe crashed through the temple's ceiling, severing the energy link between Star-Lord and Ego with a thunderous strike.

Boom!

Star-Lord plummeted to the ground, his eyes filled with confusion, as if still entranced by his earlier vision.

"Who dares to ruin my plans? You will pay for this!"

Ego's face twisted with rage. He looked through the shattered ceiling at the two floating figures in the sky. Furious, Ego unleashed a terrifying burst of blue energy from the ground, nearly destroying the entire temple as it shot towards the intruders.

"This guy does have some strength!"

Thor and Magneto's faces grew serious as they witnessed the terrifying energy surge. Magneto raised a hand, enveloping them in an invisible shield.

Boom!

The blue energy column, like a volcanic eruption, rushed towards them but was halted by the barrier, unable to advance further.

"Well done, friend. Now it's my turn!"

Thor praised Magneto before charging towards the temple. As he moved, his battle axe returned to his hand. Gripping it tightly, he headed straight for Ego.

"Die!"

Facing Thor's attack, Ego raised his hands, releasing violent energy beams. Thor roared, lifting his axe and slicing through the beams. The energy was cleaved in two, unable to stop Thor's advance.

Crack!

With a burst of thunder, Thor's axe split Ego's head in two. Ego's body dissolved into a pool of blue liquid, seeping into the ground.

"Was it that easy?"

Thor looked at Ego's body, surprised by how easily it dissolved.

"No! Father!"

Star-Lord, filled with disbelief and sorrow, shouted. He drew his energy gun and fired at Thor. But the shot was blocked by an invisible force. Magneto descended, ignoring the enraged Star-Lord and examining Ego's remains.

"Something's not right. He couldn't have been defeated this easily..."

"Ha ha ha..."

Before Magneto could finish, laughter echoed throughout the planet.

"Son, I didn't expect you to grieve for me. Let's merge completely and conquer the universe together, becoming eternal!"

The voice swept over the planet, and the temple's floor cracked open. Blue energy surged out, destroying the temple and engulfing everyone inside.

"No, Father, what are you doing?"

As the energy pierced Star-Lord, pulling him into the ground, he looked at his father with disbelief.

"Don't resist, my child. I'm doing what must be done!"

Ego's voice was seductive and commanding.

"This guy is not so easy to kill."

Two figures emerged from the chaotic energy, hovering above the planet, shocked by the living entity below.

"His true form is the entire planet. He won't die easily," Magneto said gravely, realizing the formidable power they faced.

"Hmph, so what if he's a planet? I'll still smash him!"

Thor, excited by the challenge, raised his battle axe. Instantly, thick clouds covered the sky, and terrifying thunder brewed within.

"Yondu, get the ship higher. These guys are insanely powerful."

Yondu, waiting in the spaceship, was stunned by the unfolding battle.

"I wish it were that simple. His power is growing rapidly!"

But Magneto's face grew more serious, sensing an even stronger force brewing within the living planet below.

A colossal figure loomed over the infinite expanse of the universe, as if the boundless cosmos were merely an extension of his vast form.

"So, you aspire to become my avatar? Interesting..."

His gaze pierced through the endless void of the universe, focusing on a minuscule pocket universe. There, an enthralling battle was taking place, capturing his attention.

Moreover, within the infinite cosmic void, a figure was swiftly traversing towards this very pocket universe.

"We've faced gods before," Magneto retorted, his voice cold. "You won't be the last."

With that, the battle commenced. Thor charged forward, his battle axe crackling with energy, while Magneto manipulated the magnetic fields around him, launching a barrage of metallic debris towards Ego.

Ego countered with waves of cosmic energy, each one powerful enough to decimate a city. The ground trembled beneath them, and the sky darkened with the intensity of their clash.

Thor and Magneto fought valiantly, their combined might pushing Ego to his limits. But Ego was not just a powerful entity; he was the living embodiment of the planet itself. As they fought, the very ground beneath them seemed to rise up in defense of its master.

"He's drawing power from the planet!" Magneto shouted, realizing the true extent of Ego's power.

"Then we cut him off at the source!" Thor replied, summoning a storm to unleash upon Ego.

As the battle raged on, it became clear that defeating Ego would not be a simple task. But Thor and Magneto were determined, their resolve unshaken.

Back on the spaceship, Yondu monitored the fight from afar, his face tense with worry. "Hang in there, guys," he muttered, gripping the controls tightly, ready to swoop in and provide assistance if needed.

Meanwhile, Peter continued his journey beyond the known universe, driven by the need to confront the mysterious force that threatened them all. He knew that the battle with Ego was just one part of a much larger conflict, and he was determined to uncover the truth.
